Which AI TOP 100 B850 GPU configuration should you choose?
The GPU choice is the meaningful distinction. GIGABYTE presents the RTX 5090 system for CUDA-accelerated local LLMs, generative AI and agentic workflows. It positions the dual Radeon system for larger models and memory-intensive work, listing 64 GB of combined VRAM across its two GPUs.

These are not comparable head-to-head results: they involve different configurations, tasks and models. Choose based on the software stack and workload you expect to use, along with whether your priority is a specific CUDA workflow or the dual Radeon system’s stated combined VRAM capacity. The announcement does not state the RTX 5090’s memory capacity, so it does not provide a like-for-like memory comparison.

GIGABYTE says the dual Radeon configuration can perform inference with models up to 235 billion parameters and fine-tune models up to 110 billion parameters. Its product page identifies Qwen3-235B-A22B FP4 for the cited inference result. These are manufacturer claims tied to specified or broadly described workloads, not a guarantee that every model at those parameter counts will fit, run at a useful speed, or support the same software setup.

That figure is specific to the stated model and precision; it should not be treated as a general speed rating for other models or tasks. GIGABYTE says its figures are based on internal testing and that actual performance varies with the model, precision, software version, configuration, settings and workload. Does local AI processing keep your data private?
Running an AI workload entirely on the desktop can keep that workload’s processing local, giving the operator more control over where data is handled. It does not guarantee that all data stays on the computer. GIGABYTE’s product page cautions: “For AI workloads executed entirely locally. Data may be transmitted externally when network access, APIs, or third-party services are enabled. Some agentic AI frameworks, models, tools, or services may require third-party software, subscriptions, API keys, or internet connectivity. Compatibility and requirements vary by software.”

In practice, data locality depends on the model and tools selected and how they are configured. A local model can still be paired with networked frameworks, external APIs or third-party services that send data elsewhere.

Since GIGABYTE says specifications can differ by country, prospective buyers should check local dealer information for the exact model code and regional configuration rather than assume the two listed systems are available everywhere.
