If a Ghost of Yōtei outfit, armor dye, or mask has not appeared, first check that your edition or voucher includes it and that you have met its specific unlock condition. Then update the game and check whether the reward depends on a particular save file or mode. Sucker Punch has fixed documented grant bugs for the Black Ghost mask and platinum armor dye, but there is no single official recovery sequence for every missing cosmetic.
Identify the missing item and how it is earned
Different cosmetics have different requirements. Before changing anything, write down the item’s exact name and whether it should come from your game edition, a preorder or Collector’s Edition voucher, a story mission, a trophy, New Game Plus, or a reward meant to carry into another mode.

PlayStation lists the Snake armor and Digital Deluxe armor dye as Digital Deluxe content. Preorder bonuses are listed separately, while Collector’s Edition digital items require voucher redemption, an internet connection, and a PlayStation account. Check the PlayStation edition and bonus details. If you own Standard Edition and expect a Deluxe-only item, it may not be part of your entitlement; PlayStation says an upgrade is available for a fee. An upgrade is not a fix for an item you already own but have not received.

Check the mission, activity, trophy, or story milestone associated with the reward. New Game Plus unlocks after completing the main story, according to PlayStation’s New Game Plus guide. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.100 notes add a New Game Plus vendor, Ghost Flowers as currency, new cosmetic items, and two armor sets. If the item is sold by that vendor, confirm that you are in New Game Plus and have the required currency.

Some offers have their own dates and version requirements. The PlayStation US product page describes a limited-time Sakai Armor early-unlock offer ending September 30, 2026, and says the item is available from October 1 through patch v2.0 or later. This is specific, time-sensitive US storefront information; it should not be treated as a general explanation for older missing rewards.
Update the game and check for a matching documented bug
Two official patch notes describe specific reward-grant bugs. Update Ghost of Yōtei before checking the reward again, and compare your case with the exact item and condition in the notes.

- Black Ghost mask: Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.010 notes (October 17, 2025) say: “Fixed a bug that prevented the Black Ghost mask from being granted to players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei once they completed ‘To Catch a Spider’.” This establishes a past bug and a patch fix for that specific Deluxe Edition reward. It does not establish that every missing mask has the same cause or that replaying the mission is necessary.
- Platinum armor dye: Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.101 notes (December 4, 2025) say: “Fixed a rare bug that would prevent the player from receiving the platinum armor dye when acquiring the platinum trophy across separate save files.” If you earned the trophy across separate saves, this is a close match to check. The note does not call for deleting, overwriting, or moving saves.
Check the save file and mode where you expect the cosmetic
A reward earned in one context may not immediately be available in another. Note which save file earned it and whether you are looking in single-player or Legends. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.512 notes (March 20, 2026) say certain cosmetics from New Game Plus single-player saves are now unlocked in Legends. The installed version and the mode in which you earned and expect to use the item therefore matter.
For a New Game Plus vendor reward, check the New Game Plus progression and currency requirements rather than looking only in a standard story save. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.100 notes describe the vendor and Ghost Flowers.

Recheck the relevant gear or customization screen
Return to the screen where that armor, mask, or dye should be selected, and verify the correct armor set and cosmetic option. The official builds guide describes outfits and armor as gear that can be combined with charms and saved in builds. It does not document a universal menu refresh, cache-clearing step, or missing-item recovery procedure, so treat revisiting the screen as a simple check rather than an official fix.

Include the exact item name, edition or voucher entitlement, the condition you completed and when, your game version, the mode and save file involved, and a screenshot if available. These details can help describe the case; the contact page does not prescribe a universal recovery process.
