Mint Mobile’s 10-Year Anniversary promotion lets new customers buy any six-month Mint plan, including Unlimited, for $60 paid upfront. That works out to $10 a month before taxes and fees, but the rate applies only to the first six months. The promotion began October 8, 2026. Mint’s official pages call it a limited-time deal and do not give a closing date.
What you pay and what you get
| Term | Details |
|---|---|
| Upfront payment | $60 for the six-month term |
| Monthly equivalent | $10 per month, before taxes and fees (an average across the term, not a monthly bill) |
| Plans in the announcement | 6GB, 17GB, 23GB, and Unlimited, per T-Mobile’s October 8, 2026 newsroom release |
| Activation window | Up to 45 days after purchase to activate the SIM, per Mint’s promotion help page |
| Phone number | Port your existing number or get a new one |
| Renewal terms | Renew for 3, 6, or 12 months on an available plan |
Who qualifies
Mint limits the promotion to new Mint customers. The help page does not address every possible edge case, so if you have held a Mint account before, confirm your eligibility on the checkout page before you pay.
Unlimited: the limits that come with the headline price
The anniversary page describes Unlimited without qualification, but its footnote adds two conditions that matter for heavy users:
- Busy-network slowdown: Unlimited customers who use more than 50GB in a month may notice reduced speeds for the rest of that monthly cycle in certain locations when the network is busy.
- Hotspot and video: The offer includes up to 20GB of hotspot data and SD video streaming.
These are published plan terms, not independent measurements of speed or performance.
#1 Best Overall
- WHAT YOU GET: Three (3) months of unlimited talk, text, and data delivered on the nation's largest 5G network. Data speeds may slow after 50GB when network is busy but data is unlimited. Videos stream at 480p.
- OH, YOU GET THIS TOO: 5G for Free + free mobile hotspot + Wi-Fi calling and text + free international calls to Mexico and Canada
- HOW YOU GET IT: The SIM Kit comes with a 3-in-1 SIM card that includes standard/micro/nano sizes, insert the SIM into your device, and activate on the Mint Mobile website or app. You can activate service on your own unlocked device with our Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP) program. Check your coverage and phone compatibility on the Mint Mobile website.
- WHO SHOULD GET IT: Anyone who hates their phone bill
- WHY YOU SHOULD GET IT: Mint Mobile took what’s wrong with wireless and made it right. We re-imagined the wireless shopping experience and made it easy and online.
Activating your line
- Buy the six-month plan through Mint’s 10-Year Anniversary offer.
- Activate the SIM within 45 days of purchase.
- During activation, choose whether to port your existing number or receive a new one.
After the six months
The $10-per-month rate is not permanent. Mint says you can renew for 3, 6, or 12 months on an available plan, but its official pages do not state what a renewal will cost you. Check the renewal price on Mint’s site before you buy.
Changing plans before the six months end means you lose the promotional $10-per-month rate. Mint says the promotion falls under its existing Plans Return Policy. The offer pages do not spell out that policy’s detailed conditions, so read them before purchasing if you might switch plans.

How long the offer runs
Mint’s official pages do not give an end date for the promotion. Some third-party coverage cites October 22, but that date does not appear on Mint’s official pages, so treat it as unconfirmed until Mint publishes it.

What T-Mobile and Mint say about the anniversary
T-Mobile’s October 8, 2026 newsroom announcement quotes Scott Venuti, general manager of Mint Mobile: “Ten years ago, Mint set out to challenge the old way of doing wireless and prove customers could get premium service without the premium price tag.” The release describes the same structure as this article: six months of a plan, including Unlimited, at $10 per month with $60 due upfront.
