For the Version 7.1 build guidance checked on October 7, 2026, the recommended starting point for Vesna is Beyond the Chrysalis, the Scarlet Proof artifact set, ATK% sands and goblet, and a CRIT circlet. The best weapon ranking and Energy Recharge target depend on team, refinement, and particle support; use the figures below as scenario-specific guide calculations, not universal guarantees.
Recommended Vesna build at a glance
| Slot or stat | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Beyond the Chrysalis; alternatives include Whitelake Frostfeather, New Bough, and Primordial Jade Cutter. |
| Artifact set | Scarlet Proof. |
| Sands | ATK%. |
| Goblet | ATK%. |
| Circlet | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, chosen to balance the final build. |
| Substats | CRIT Rate = CRIT DMG > ATK% > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge, subject to the Energy Recharge needs of the team. |
The Version 7.1 recommendations and detailed calculations are from the third-party Genshin-build.com Vesna guide. Icy Veins and Beebom also favor the signature weapon and broadly align on the main-stat approach, but their rankings and alternatives are not identical. These guides describe Vesna as an Anemo sword DPS focused on Stellar Swirl; the kit details here are guide descriptions rather than verified official documentation.
Best weapons for Vesna
Beyond the Chrysalis is the lead recommendation, but a weapon’s practical value depends on its refinement, team, and the comparison assumptions. The Genshin-build.com guide reports the following relative-damage figures for its R1 Vodyanitsa Sustain team comparison. Its calculations are attributed on-page to Prydwen and have not been independently reproduced here.

| Weapon and refinement | Reported relative damage | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Beyond the Chrysalis, R1 | 124.72% | Genshin-build.com guide calculation for the R1 Vodyanitsa Sustain comparison; not a universal ranking. |
| Whitelake Frostfeather | 116.84% | Same comparison; refinement is not stated in the reported figure. |
| New Bough, R5 | 110.04% | Same comparison; the quick-build box identifies R5 New Bough as the F2P option. |
| Primordial Jade Cutter | 106.14% | Same comparison; refinement is not stated in the reported figure. |
Use that table to understand the guide’s particular scenario, not to assume the same gaps for every roster. Icy Veins also puts Beyond the Chrysalis first but notes that team composition and investment affect the choice. Beebom additionally lists Azurelight and Emberwell as alternatives; none of these third-party lists establishes a universal ordering across refinements and teams.

Choosing an alternative
- New Bough: the current quick-build recommendation for a free-to-play option is R5.
- Whitelake Frostfeather or Primordial Jade Cutter: both appear in the current guide’s weapon comparison and can be considered when available.
- Azurelight or Emberwell: Beebom includes these among its alternatives.
Which artifact set should Vesna use?
Scarlet Proof
Genshin-build.com recommends Scarlet Proof as Vesna’s best-in-slot set. Its guide reports a two-piece bonus of ATK +18%. The four-piece effect grants 16% CRIT Rate and 40% Stellar Swirl reaction damage for 10 seconds after triggering Stellar Swirl. These are the set effects as reported by that guide.
Fallback sets and main stats
Gilded Dreams and combinations of two-piece ATK sets are listed as weaker or placeholder options in the current build guide. If a complete Scarlet Proof set is not ready, prioritize useful main stats and substats rather than treating a temporary set as the final target.
Rank #2
- Genshin Impact "Astute Amusement" Yae Miko 1/7 Scale Figure
- Sands: ATK%.
- Goblet: ATK%.
- Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, depending on which gives the more balanced total.
- Substats: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG first, then ATK%, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge as needed for the team.
Beebom provides an example target profile of 2,600+ ATK, 100+ Elemental Mastery, 100–130% Energy Recharge, 69–84% CRIT Rate, and 180%+ CRIT DMG. Those numbers are that guide’s targets for a well-built artifact set with its preferred weapon, not minimum requirements for every Vesna build. Beebom’s Vesna build guide supplies that target profile.
How much Energy Recharge does Vesna need?
The Genshin-build.com guide lists Vesna’s Burst cost as 60 energy and gives team-specific ER calculations. For example, with the signature weapon and a team of C6 Faruzan, Cryo Traveler, and Odette, it estimates 117% ER when the team has one Favonius weapon and 128% with none. Those are lineup- and support-dependent figures, not general thresholds. The same guide lists 203% and 244% for other team and weapon cases, illustrating why a single target can mislead.
Check the energy flow in the team you actually use. If the target needed to Burst every rotation would cost too many useful offensive stats, the guide advises some lineups to skip ER investment and use the Burst every other rotation instead. Its ER values and rotation suggestions are third-party calculations, not official requirements. See the guide’s team-specific ER table for its full scenario details.
Best Vesna teams
The team choice should balance Cryo application for Stellar Swirl with buffs, grouping, and survivability. The listed guides do not establish one best lineup for every roster or encounter.
Rank #4
- Genshin Impact Wondrous Travels Series Chibi Figure - Furina
| Team | Roles and trade-off |
|---|---|
| Vesna, Odette, Vodyanitsa, Sucrose | Featured damage/sustain option in Genshin-build.com: Odette supplies off-field Cryo, Vodyanitsa is the healer/buffer, and Sucrose contributes Anemo/Elemental Mastery support. |
| Vesna, Qiqi, Cryo Traveler, Sucrose | More accessible alternative in the same guide: Qiqi provides Cryo and healing, while Cryo Traveler adds a second Cryo source. |
| Vesna, Odette, Vodyanitsa, Faruzan | Listed alternative with Faruzan in the support slot. |
| Vesna, Odette, Vodyanitsa, Qiqi | Listed alternative that includes both Vodyanitsa and Qiqi. |
| Vesna, Odette, Cryo Traveler, Faruzan | Listed option without a healer or shielder; survivability depends on dodging or adding another source of sustain. |
Beebom likewise treats Odette and Cryo Traveler as core partners and frames Faruzan, Sucrose, and Vodyanitsa as competing additions depending on damage or sustain preference. For more detail on the roles attributed to each lineup, consult the Genshin-build.com team guide and Beebom’s Vesna guide.

Suggested rotation
The current Genshin-build.com guide gives this simple combo notation: E EE Q/N3C E 2[N3C E]. It describes setting up buffs and off-field Cryo before using Vesna’s Skill to enter her state, then performing on-field combos to cast special Skills. Follow the guide’s notation as a starting point and adjust to the characters and buffs in your party; it is third-party rotation guidance, not a universally fixed sequence.
