The March 2025 leak got the core counts, memory configurations and most power figures right, but it is now historical: NVIDIA later announced all three cards and published reference specifications. The clearest mismatch is the RTX 5060’s power rating: Tom’s Hardware reported 150 W from leaker Kopite, while NVIDIA’s current reference comparison page lists 145 W.
What the March 2025 leak reported
On March 10, 2025, Tom’s Hardware attributed specifications for the three mainstream GPUs to leaker Kopite. These were reported leak figures, not an NVIDIA specification sheet.
| Model | Leaked CUDA cores / SMs | Leaked memory | Interface | Leaked TGP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GeForce RTX 5060 Ti | 4,608 / 36 | 8 GB or 16 GB GDDR7 | 128-bit | 180 W |
| GeForce RTX 5060 | 3,840 / 30 | 8 GB GDDR7 | 128-bit | 150 W |
| GeForce RTX 5050 | 2,560 / 20 | 8 GB GDDR6 | 128-bit | 130 W |
The report also identified the RTX 5060 Ti GPU as GB206-300-A1. See Tom’s Hardware’s March 10, 2025 leak report.

NVIDIA announced the RTX 5060 family on April 15, 2025. Its comparison page now lists the following Founders Edition or reference specifications, accessed October 4, 2026. NVIDIA notes that add-in-card specifications can vary by manufacturer.
#1 Best Overall
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
| Model | CUDA cores | Memory | Interface | Total graphics power | Required system power |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GeForce RTX 5060 Ti | 4,608 | 16 GB or 8 GB GDDR7 | 128-bit | 180 W | 600 W |
| GeForce RTX 5060 | 3,840 | 8 GB GDDR7 | 128-bit | 145 W | 550 W |
| GeForce RTX 5050 | 2,560 | 8 GB GDDR6 | 128-bit | 130 W | 550 W |
The core counts, memory types and capacities, and interface widths in the leak match NVIDIA’s reference listing. The RTX 5060’s power is the notable change: the leak report said 150 W, whereas NVIDIA lists 145 W. For the official reference figure, use NVIDIA’s rating; a particular partner card may differ. NVIDIA’s current GeForce comparison page also lists Blackwell architecture and PCI Express Gen 5 for the family.
Clocks and bandwidth in NVIDIA’s reference specifications
| Model | Boost clock | Memory bandwidth |
|---|---|---|
| GeForce RTX 5060 Ti | 2.57 GHz | 448 GB/s |
| GeForce RTX 5060 | 2.50 GHz | 448 GB/s |
| GeForce RTX 5050 | 2.57 GHz | 320 GB/s |
These are NVIDIA-published reference specifications, not a promise that every board partner’s card uses identical clocks, dimensions or power characteristics.

- Dual-Fan Cooling in a Compact Design - Two fans work together to distribute and dissipate heat efficiently across a compact design, delivering the thermal headroom to sustain boost clocks without demanding a full-length card slot.
- Masterfully Crafted Cooling - A dense heatsink pulls heat away from the GPU while a vented metal backplate adds passive cooling and reinforces the card against sagging, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
- Overclocked Out of the Box - A factory-tuned 2692 MHz boost clock delivers extra performance over reference specifications with no setup required, plus headroom to push further with VelocityX.
- VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
- NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor Cores for max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing Cores built for Mega Geometry.
Launch configurations and prices
NVIDIA’s April 15, 2025 announcement set historical launch pricing, not today’s verified street prices. The RTX 5060 Ti was announced in two memory configurations, and the RTX 5060 followed in May.

NVIDIA’s May 19, 2025 GeForce update said the RTX 5060 was out, starting at $299, and named add-in-board partners and system builders. Neither announcement establishes current retailer availability or pricing. Details are in NVIDIA’s April 15, 2025 launch release and May 19, 2025 availability update.

How to interpret NVIDIA’s performance claims
NVIDIA promoted the family around Blackwell, ray tracing, neural rendering, Reflex and DLSS 4. Its performance examples are vendor claims tied to particular games, settings and features—not independent benchmark results or universal native-rendering comparisons.
- For RTX 5060 Ti examples, NVIDIA used DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction and Reflex in supported games. It said some games doubled frame rates versus RTX 4060 Ti under the described DLSS conditions; examples without Multi Frame Generation showed roughly 20% improvement.
- RTX 5060 performance claims likewise cited DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and specified test settings. Generated frames and upscaling affect the comparison, so the claim should not be read as a like-for-like native-rendering gain.
NVIDIA’s April 15, 2025 GeForce article, “Announcing The GeForce RTX 5060 Desktop Family”, describes its performance examples and feature conditions. NVIDIA’s launch release quoted GeForce marketing vice president Matt Wuebbling calling the family “next-generation performance and AI-enhanced visuals starting at $299”; that is promotional language, not an independent assessment.
