Gears of War: E-Day reached an all-time Steam peak of 20,374 concurrent players on 2 October 2026, according to SteamDB. That exceeds the earlier Steam peaks reported for other Gears games, but it is a Steam-only concurrency figure—not a count of everyone playing across Xbox, PC, Game Pass, or cloud services.
How many players were on Gears of War: E-Day on Steam?
SteamDB recorded a peak of 20,374 people playing Gears of War: E-Day at the same time on Steam on 2 October 2026. A concurrent-player peak is a snapshot of simultaneous activity, not the number of copies sold or the total number of people who have played.

Yes. The 20,374-player peak is higher than the earlier Gears-series Steam peaks summarized by GamesRadar+, which cited SteamDB figures. The comparison spans different games and access phases, so it shows the relative Steam peaks—not like-for-like launch audiences.
