Act 1 has 13 collectibles across four chapters: three in “Emergence,” four in “Survival of the Fittest,” two in “A Gear in Need,” and four in “Back in the Fold.” Use the chapter checklist below to find them in order. A few guides differ on an item’s name or exact cue, so those locations are identified with the landmarks on which current guides broadly agree.

Chapter 1: Emergence — 3 collectibles

  1. Monster Jaw (also called “Monster Claw” in one guide): after the first e-hole encounter, check the street near the newsstand or kiosk. Guides differ on the precise cue: one places it by a corpse after the first melee enemies, while others direct you back toward the street after the encounter. Look around this early street section before moving on. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  2. Bloody Transit Worker’s Helmet: in the maintenance tunnels, look into a left-side room or opening for a body with a flashlight. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  3. Front Page of the Kalona Times (spelled “Kelona” by one guide): after helping civilians trapped under rubble, enter the Cafe and Bakery across the street and search the back kitchen or counter area. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.

Chapter 2: Survival of the Fittest — 4 collectibles

  1. KPD Police Bulletin: at the police station, check the desk or table on the left side of the bullpen before progressing farther. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  2. Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge: in the chief’s room, inspect the area beside or below the chief’s body on the wall. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  3. Army Recruitment Pamphlet: inside the Gears recruitment center, look behind the reception desk or by the display with COG emblems. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  4. Try On Pilot Helmet: still in the recruitment center, inspect the helmet display to the right of the pamphlet. One guide specifies the third helmet from the left. Although one list labels this its fifth entry after skipping a number, it is the fourth Chapter 2 collectible. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.

Chapter 3: A Gear in Need — 2 collectibles

  1. Tomatoes, Canned: in the supermarket warehouse, check a left-hand aisle or storage area near a body and boxes. Guides vary on the exact aisle and sequence, so search the warehouse section before leaving it. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  2. Broken Lancer Bayonet: after the fight or cutscene with Tai in the supermarket, inspect the dead soldier or Locust bodies before leaving; the item is on or near a body. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.

Chapter 4: Back in the Fold — 4 collectibles

  1. Front Page of the Tyran Chronicle (called “Tyrant Chronicle” by one guide): near the start, check the right-side alley or doorstep by the Bar & Lounge sign or stairs. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  2. Anti-UIR Propaganda Poster: before entering the clinic, take the right-hand path and look along the wall farther down the alley. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  3. Landa Memorial Medical Supplies Memo: inside the clinic, check the reception or office desk before exiting. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.
  4. COG Tags of Private Brick Rosso: after leaving the clinic, search behind or beside the police car near the park entrance. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, DayOne.

How to spot a missed collectible

TechWiser reports that nearby collectibles can be highlighted with Tac-Com by pressing LB, and that an audio cue can help you notice one. The highlight range is short, so use it while checking the specific room or landmark rather than expecting it to reveal objects from far away. The same guide says missed items can be recovered by replaying individual chapters and that collected items appear in the War Journal. These are guide-reported directions; the official Xbox pages cited below do not document these mechanics. TechWiser.

Does collecting everything count toward an achievement?

Yes. Xbox Wire’s achievement list says “Memories From E-Day” unlocks when you find all campaign collectibles, on any difficulty. The list includes 54 achievements overall, but completing Act 1 alone does not satisfy the all-campaign requirement. Xbox Wire.
