For the closest match to Dungeon Munchies, try Cuisineer. Both games send you into monster-filled dungeons to gather food-related materials, but they use those ingredients differently: Dungeon Munchies turns meals into a character-build choice, while Cuisineer sends ingredients back to a restaurant where you cook and serve customers. Choose the latter if you want dungeon runs tied to a cooking business; its restaurant loop is a meaningful difference, not a copy of Dungeon Munchies.
What makes a game like Dungeon Munchies?
Dungeon Munchies combines side-scrolling action RPG combat with hunting, cooking, and crafting. PlayStation describes eating dishes as a way to gain abilities, with meal combinations shaping the player’s play style. Nintendo’s UK description says you can carry seven dishes, making the selection a build decision, and craft weapons from animal and plant parts you do not eat. (PlayStation; Nintendo of Europe)

That combination gives a useful test for alternatives: look for action or dungeon exploration, ingredient gathering, and a cooking or crafting system that matters to progression. A game can share the food theme without reproducing the same ability-loadout mechanic.

Cuisineer is the strongest fit if you want dungeon combat and ingredient gathering to feed a cooking loop. You play Pom, fighting monsters in roguelite dungeon expeditions, collecting ingredients, then returning home to cook and serve food in a restaurant. Marvelous says the game includes more than 100 recipes, procedurally generated biomes, elemental combat effects, and distinct cooking utensils and gourmet gear. How its loop differs from Dungeon Munchies
- In Dungeon Munchies: meals grant abilities and their combination affects your play style; Nintendo describes a seven-dish selection limit.
- In Cuisineer: ingredients collected in dungeons become dishes for restaurant customers. Cooking and restaurant operations are a major destination for the loot, alongside food-themed combat effects.
- Between fights: Dungeon Munchies emphasizes exploration and crafting weapons from creature and plant parts; Cuisineer shifts attention to restaurant needs, including dishes, customers, kitchen setup, and the dining room.
So, pick Cuisineer for the expedition-to-restaurant cycle. If your favorite part of Dungeon Munchies is building a combat setup by choosing meals, be aware that the games’ progression loops are not interchangeable.

- Big Menu for a Big Stomach - With a stomach that can only take seven dishes, you must put together a meal that maximises your abilities. Guava juice, grilled shrimp, or crab stirfry may mean the difference between health recovery, damage output or a watery shield!
- Tools of the Trade - Craft all kinds of deadly weapons out of the animal and plant parts you can’t eat. Pair them with your favorite dishes to create the most overpowered combat combo!
- Farm-fresh & Locally-sourced - In this day and age, ingredients are hard to come by. Be prepared to face off electriacl snails, razor-sharp shrimp claws, and laser wasps to get the delicious parts you need!
- Something Doesn’t Feel Right… - From the self-professed-AAA-license-holding necro-chef, to the diabolical voodoo “Lord of the Forest”, to the radical revolutionaries of the fruit revolution, everyone wants you to do their thing, but no one’s really right in the head. What’s really happening down in this dungeon?
