The GameMax RGB PRO 750G is a capable 750W, fully modular power supply with a native 12V-2×6 GPU cable and prominent ARGB lighting. Tom’s Hardware found good ripple and Gold-level efficiency in its testing, but judged the unit poor value at its $105 MSRP: its main draw is the lighting, while high-load fan noise and limited 12V over-current protection headroom weaken the package.
What the GameMax RGB PRO 750G offers
GameMax specifies a 750W fully modular ATX power supply with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support. Its 12V rail is rated for 62A, or 744W, and the unit includes a native 12V-2×6 GPU power cable. That means compatible graphics cards can connect directly without relying on a separate adapter, subject to the card and cable requirements.
The manufacturer also lists a temperature-controlled 14cm fan and 25 lighting modes. The illuminated ring around the fan is the product’s most distinctive feature; whether that is a benefit depends on whether your case makes the PSU visible and you want RGB lighting there.

Included connectors
The manual’s cable overview lists one 24-pin motherboard connector, two 4+4-pin CPU connectors, three 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, one 12V-2×6 connector, eight SATA connectors, three peripheral connectors, one floppy connector and one ARGB sync lead. Connector counts can vary by packaging revision, so confirm the box contents if a particular plug is essential.

How it performed in testing
In Tom’s Hardware’s review, published September 25, 2026, the PSU averaged 90.8% efficiency at 230 VAC and 88.6% at 115 VAC. The review said its 115V results cleared the three 80 PLUS Gold efficiency checkpoints, narrowly at two of them. It also reported good ripple results. These are the reviewer’s test findings, not manufacturer specifications.
Protection headroom is the main concern
Tom’s Hardware measured the 12V over-current protection (OCP) trip point at 67A, about 108% of the rail’s 62A rating. It measured over-power protection at approximately 825W. The reviewer considered the OCP margin tight for a supply carrying an ATX 3.1 badge, particularly when a high-draw graphics card is used near the PSU’s rated output and can produce short power excursions.

- 80 PLUS Gold Certified: Achieves up to 90% energy efficiency, reducing power waste and operating costs while maintaining stable performance
- ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Compliant: Ready for next-generation components with improved power delivery standards and compatibility
- Native 12V-2x6 Connector: Dual-color design supports up to 450W power delivery for modern high-performance graphics cards
- Quiet 120mm Cooling Fan: Optimized for low-noise operation while providing effective thermal management
- Reliable Power Output: 750W capacity handles mid-range to high-end system configurations with stability
That result is a reason to consider the rest of a system’s power demands and the PSU’s operating margin; it is not, by itself, evidence that the unit is unsafe. Buyers pairing a demanding modern GPU with a 750W supply should compare the card maker’s power guidance and the whole system’s expected load rather than treating the 750W label as a guarantee of suitability for every configuration.
Noise, components and overall quality
The review identified fan noise at high load and economical secondary-side capacitors as compromises. Its overall judgment was that the electrical platform performed adequately, but the fan, component choices and value proposition did not match what the review price should buy. The lighting does not change those underlying trade-offs.

Is it actually 80 PLUS Gold certified?
GameMax advertises Gold efficiency, and Tom’s Hardware’s measured results were consistent with Gold-level efficiency. However, the reviewer reported that it could not find a public certification-database entry for the exact RGB PRO 750G model in CLEAResult, Cybenetics or PPLP when it checked.
A CLEAResult report exists for the GameMax GZ 750G, but that is a different model and does not establish certification for the RGB PRO 750G. If an official certification listing matters to your purchase, check the database by the exact model number rather than inferring certification from a similarly named unit.

Is the GameMax RGB PRO 750G worth its price?
At review publication, Tom’s Hardware listed a $105 MSRP and showed an Amazon offer of $104.99. The review described the MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 and Corsair RM750e as 750W alternatives that were often closer to $80 at that time. Those are historical observations, not current price quotes, and the review did not independently test those alternatives as part of this comparison. Check live prices and current model specifications before deciding.

The RGB PRO 750G makes the most sense if you specifically want its illuminated fan ring, need a native 12V-2×6 cable and find it at a price that compares favorably with other suitable 750W units. If RGB is incidental, prioritize current price, 12V capacity, noise under sustained load, protection behavior, warranty terms for your region and certification under the exact model number.

- 80 PLUS GOLD CERTIFIED
- 10-year limited warranty, guaranteeing long term reliable operation
- Fully modular design
- ATX 3.1 & PCIE 5.1
Warranty: verify the exact model and region
The available product information is inconsistent: GameMax’s product-page heading uses five-year warranty language, while Tom’s Hardware describes a ten-year warranty. Because the sources conflict, do not assume either term applies to your unit. Check the packaging and a current manufacturer warranty page for the exact model revision and your region before buying.
