Which screen and form factor better fit your use?
Galaxy S26 Ultra: one large screen, always ready
Samsung lists a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with adaptive 1–120Hz refresh. It is the simpler choice if you want a large phone display without unfolding the device. The published screen size does not by itself establish brightness, durability, or viewing quality against Xiaomi’s panels.

MacRumors reported a 5.38-inch outer display and a 7.58-inch inner display, both with 120Hz LTPO refresh, for the China-market launch. The two-screen design offers a larger surface when unfolded, while its outer screen is smaller than Samsung’s single panel. Whether that trade-off suits you depends on how often you use the phone open versus closed; the reported dimensions alone do not establish hinge durability or screen quality.

How do their cameras compare on paper?
Samsung’s published S26 Ultra camera configuration comprises:
- 200MP main camera
- 50MP ultrawide camera
- 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom
- 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
- 12MP front camera
Samsung separately calls 2x and 10x “optical quality zoom”; those labels are distinct from its 3x and 5x optical zoom specifications. The cited Xiaomi launch reporting does not establish camera specifications for the 18 Fold, so a camera-spec comparison would be incomplete. Samsung specifications
Samsung lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh for the S26 Ultra. Its U.S. launch announcement listed 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage configurations. Those published facts do not establish comparative speed, battery life, or software support duration.
Xiaomi reported configurations
ITHome’s China launch-price report lists Xiaomi 18 Fold configurations with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage from 256GB to 1TB. The cited sources do not state its processor or battery capacity. Without those specifications and independent testing, there is no sound basis here to declare a performance or endurance winner.

Samsung announced a U.S. S26 Ultra starting price of $1,299.99 for 256GB. This is the U.S. launch price, not a live retailer quote; the announcement also listed 512GB and 1TB options without those configurations’ prices in the cited material.

Is the Xiaomi 18 Fold available globally?
