At AT&T’s listed U.S. retail starting prices, the Samsung Galaxy S26+ is $100 less than the Apple iPhone 18 Pro: $1,099.99 versus $1,199.99. The Galaxy also has the larger display, while the iPhone’s listed rear cameras all have 48-megapixel sensors. Those specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or performs better; the available sources do not provide comparable camera or performance tests.
Price difference: Galaxy S26+ is $100 less at AT&T
AT&T lists U.S. retail starting prices of $1,099.99 for the Galaxy S26+ and $1,199.99 for the iPhone 18 Pro, a $100 difference in Samsung’s favor. These are prices on the same carrier’s page, not universal prices across retailers or markets. Prices can change. AT&T’s comparison page also shows lower promotional amounts tied to qualifying plans, trade-ins and installment credits over 36 months; those offers are conditional, not the phones’ unconditional retail prices. Tom’s Guide’s 2026 review coverage reports a U.S. Galaxy S26+ starting price of $1,099 and official sales beginning March 11, 2026, but it is not a live retailer price check.
Display and size: Samsung gives you more screen

Samsung’s stated 6.7-inch measurement uses the full rectangle; its rounded-corner viewable measurement is 6.5 inches. Apple gives a 6.3-inch diagonal. On these manufacturer measurements, the Galaxy is the larger-screen option and the iPhone is the more compact one. Apple’s figures come from its iPhone 18 Pro technical specifications; Samsung’s display measurement is from its UK Business Galaxy S26+ product page.

The iPhone’s camera specifications are from Apple; AT&T lists the Galaxy S26+ camera resolutions. The different megapixel counts are not a photo-quality ranking: sensor and lens design, image processing and stabilization also matter. Processors and AI features: no verified speed winner
Apple specifies an A20 Pro with a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and dual 16-core Neural Engine. AT&T identifies the Galaxy S26+ processor as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung’s UK product material describes a customized processor and cautions that the application processor may vary by country, region or carrier. The listed chip names identify the hardware, but the available sources do not include comparable benchmarks for speed, efficiency or heat.
Apple lists Apple Intelligence and Siri AI; Samsung describes Galaxy AI, Now Nudge, privacy controls and One UI 8.5. A feature list alone does not show which system will work better for a particular person. Samsung notes that some functions depend on language, region, supported apps, accounts or network requirements. Check support for the languages and features you actually plan to use before choosing. Storage: Apple’s listed range is clearer across capacities
Apple lists iPhone 18 Pro storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. The cited Samsung page is a UK Business listing for a 256GB Galaxy S26+ configuration; it does not establish the full range of capacities available in every market. Water resistance: both are IP68, with different stated tests
Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro IP68 under IEC 60529, with a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes. Samsung says the Galaxy S26+ was tested in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes, and warns that water and dust resistance is not permanent and may diminish with normal wear. These are manufacturers’ test conditions, not a promise that either phone is waterproof. Apple; Samsung UK Business.

Battery and charging: the figures do not settle endurance
Samsung lists a rated Galaxy S26+ battery capacity of 4,755mAh and explains that typical capacity is an estimated average. AT&T displays Apple’s claim of up to 36 hours for the iPhone 18 Pro, but the available material does not provide a comparable Galaxy measurement or a shared test protocol.
