The Motorola Signature leads on listed display refresh rate, memory options and charging speeds; the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has a lower published US launch price and a clearly stated seven-generation OS and seven-year security-update commitment. Which is the better fit depends on the features you value. There is no reliable single-number price difference without a country and current listings for comparable configurations.

Which phone has the better display?

Motorola lists the larger panel and the higher maximum refresh rate: 6.8 inches and up to 165Hz, compared with Samsung’s 6.7-inch display at 120Hz. Samsung specifies FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; Motorola gives a resolution of 2780 × 1264 for its Extreme AMOLED panel.

A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported motion look smoother, but it does not by itself establish better overall display quality, brightness, color accuracy or battery efficiency. These specifications do not amount to a direct screen test.

How do performance and memory compare?

Samsung specifies the Exynos 2400, manufactured on a 4nm process, and 8GB of RAM. Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on a 3nm process and offers 12GB or 16GB RAM options, depending on market configuration. Those figures describe hardware; chip names and manufacturing process alone do not show which phone is faster in real use. No independent comparative benchmark is established here.

Storage also depends on the version sold locally. Samsung lists 128GB, 256GB and 512GB options globally, with market variation. Motorola’s official specifications show 512GB internal storage, while noting configurations vary by market. Check the exact local model before buying.

Motorola’s higher megapixel counts do not prove that it takes better photos. Image quality also depends on factors such as sensor characteristics, lenses, image processing and shooting conditions. These specifications do not establish a camera-test winner.

Those are rated capacities and charging specifications, not independent battery-life or charging-time measurements. They cannot establish how long either phone lasts in a given person’s use or how quickly it charges from empty to full.

Updates

Samsung commits to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, measured from the phone’s global launch. Motorola describes its support as “Up to 7 years” for OS upgrades and security patches. The wording differs: Motorola’s “up to” qualification should not be read as the same unconditional phrasing used in Samsung’s stated commitment.

What is the price difference?

Samsung announced a US starting price of $649.99 for the Galaxy S25 FE, with availability beginning September 4, 2025. That is a historical launch price, not a current retail quote. Motorola’s official specifications page does not state a price, so the available official figures do not establish a like-for-like price difference.

For a useful comparison, check current offers in the same country and match storage and RAM configurations as closely as possible. Also account for whether each listing is unlocked or carrier-specific and whether the displayed offer depends on a trade-in, plan or promotion. Prices and availability can change; a launch price should not be compared with a current discounted listing as though they were equivalent.

Samsung’s US launch announcement provides the dated starting-price information: Samsung’s September 4, 2025 Galaxy S25 FE announcement. Its US price should not be treated as the price in another market.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Consider the Motorola Signature if its listed 165Hz display, 12GB or 16GB RAM configurations, three 50MP rear cameras, or faster rated charging align with your priorities—and the local price and variant suit you.
  • Consider the Galaxy S25 FE if Samsung’s stated update commitment, its particular camera combination, or its published US launch-price history is more relevant to your decision. Confirm current local pricing rather than relying on the 2025 launch figure.
  • Compare hands-on or independent tests if your decision depends on real-world speed, camera results, battery endurance, charging time or screen quality; the specifications alone do not settle those questions.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
