The Samsung Galaxy M56 is the lighter, thinner option; the Galaxy A27 5G has the later listed security-support end date. Both offer a 6.7-inch-class 120 Hz display and a 5,000 mAh typical battery. Samsung’s India store lists A27 prices, but no usable current M56 selling price is available in the official material, so a precise India price gap cannot be established.

Specifications are from Samsung India product pages for the Galaxy M56 and Galaxy A27 5G; the M56’s support figures are also listed in Samsung Electronics’ 2026 First Quarter Interim Report. The A27’s later launch date is not evidence by itself of faster performance.
What is the India price difference?
There is no verified same-date price for both phones in the official information available here, so it would be misleading to state a fixed price difference. Samsung India’s A27 purchase page displayed these prices when retrieved in October 2026:
- ₹33,999 for 6 GB/128 GB.
- ₹38,999 for 8 GB/128 GB.
Samsung Newsroom India’s June 30, 2026 launch headline cited ₹28,999. That is a launch-price reference, not a guarantee of the current store price. Check the live A27 purchase page for current configuration-specific pricing and offers. Samsung’s M56 product page identifies an 8 GB model but does not provide a usable current selling price in the available page content.

Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the M56 if lower weight matters most
At 180 g and 7.2 mm, the M56 is 20 g lighter and 0.6 mm thinner than the A27. Samsung calls its display Super AMOLED Plus, while the A27 is listed with a Super AMOLED panel. Those are specification distinctions; they do not establish which screen looks better in person.
Consider the A27 for a later listed security-support end date
Samsung India lists the A27’s security-update period through July 31, 2032, compared with December 31, 2030 for the M56. Samsung describes the A27 as eligible for up to six OS upgrades and six years of security and maintenance releases. The M56 is listed for six OS upgrades and six years of security updates in Samsung’s corporate report.

Compare camera features, not megapixel totals
The A27’s 50 MP main camera is explicitly listed with optical image stabilization (OIS), while Samsung lists an 8 MP secondary camera on the M56 and a 5 MP secondary camera on the A27. Samsung’s official specifications do not establish comparative image quality, and megapixel counts alone cannot settle which phone takes better photos.
Do not infer speed or endurance from component names
The phones use different processors, but no controlled benchmark comparison is established here. Both have a 5,000 mAh typical-capacity battery, but that figure is not a matched battery-life test. Samsung’s stated display and chipset specifications do not establish which handset will feel faster or last longer for a particular workload.

Check package contents before ordering
Samsung’s US A27 package page lists the phone, data cable, and ejection pin, and says a charger is not included. This applies to the US package page only; it does not establish what is in an India A27 box or the M56 box. Confirm the contents for the exact market and seller before buying. If purchasing a charger, case, or screen protector separately, verify charging compatibility and exact-model fit.
