The Galaxy M36 5G and Galaxy F70 Pro 5G share a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display, but their listed hardware differs: the F70 Pro has a newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery, while the M36 has an 8MP ultrawide camera versus the F70 Pro’s 5MP. What is the price difference in India?
A dependable current, like-for-like price difference is not established. Samsung’s June 30, 2025 M36 announcement gave these introductory India prices: ₹16,499 for 6GB/128GB including a ₹1,000 instant bank discount, ₹17,999 for 8GB/128GB, and ₹20,999 for 8GB/256GB. These are launch-era prices, not current offers.
A 91mobiles listing snapshot reviewed in 2026 showed ₹20,999 for the M36 and ₹26,489 for the F70 Pro. That ₹5,490 arithmetic difference is not a reliable comparison of what buyers pay: the listing does not establish that the prices are for matching memory and storage tiers, and retailer prices and offers change. Samsung’s F70 Pro page does not provide a clean, reliable current India price in the available product-page text.

How to compare what you will actually pay
- Choose the RAM and storage tier you want for each phone.
- Check both models on the same retailer on the day you plan to buy, and compare the same seller type where possible.
- Separate the listed price from bank discounts, exchange offers, and other conditional savings.
- Compare the final payable amount for each matching configuration rather than using a headline price from a comparison page.
Where the phones differ most
Performance: chipset names, not a proven speed winner
The F70 Pro lists a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the M36 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1380. That identifies a generational and platform difference, but the sources do not establish a matched benchmark or gaming result. Do not treat the chipset names alone as proof of how much faster one phone will feel in your apps.
Cameras: more ultrawide resolution on the M36
The M36’s listed ultrawide camera is 8MP; the F70 Pro’s is 5MP. Both are listed with a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and optical image stabilization (OIS) on the main rear camera. Samsung describes the M36 as having a 50MP OIS triple camera and confirms OIS for the F70 Pro’s triple rear camera. The M36 also lists a 13MP front camera against the F70 Pro’s 12MP.

These are resolution and feature differences, not evidence that one phone takes better photos. Sensor characteristics, processing, lens quality, and shooting conditions also matter, and no matched camera test is established here.

The F70 Pro lists 6,000mAh, compared with 5,000mAh for the M36. That is a larger stated battery capacity, not a measured battery-life result. Runtime depends on use and conditions; no matched battery test establishes how much longer either phone lasts in everyday use. The M36 launch announcement specifies 25W charging. Comparison data lists 45W for the F70 Pro, but confirm the charging specification for the exact regional variant. Do not assume a charger is included.

Samsung announced six Android generations and six years of security updates for the M36. Samsung states six OS generations and six years of security support for the F70 Pro, measured from its first global launch. Those commitments describe support duration, not an exact update delivery schedule or end date.

Choose the Galaxy M36 if
- Its current price is meaningfully lower than the F70 Pro’s for the same RAM and storage tier.
- You want the higher listed ultrawide resolution, 8MP rather than 5MP.
- Its stated battery capacity and 25W charging suit your needs, and its six-generation OS and six-year security commitment meet your support expectations.
Choose the Galaxy F70 Pro if
- You prefer its listed Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, while recognizing that no matched performance test establishes a real-world speed advantage.
- You value its larger stated 6,000mAh battery capacity over the M36’s 5,000mAh.
- The actual same-configuration price premium is worth those differences to you.
Both phones offer the same broad display proposition in the comparison data and similar stated software-support durations. Base the decision on the exact configuration and live price, then weigh the chipset, battery capacity, and ultrawide resolution according to your priorities rather than treating any one specification as a complete measure of quality.
