The Motorola Signature has the more premium specification sheet, while the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is positioned as the lower-cost option. The Signature lists a higher-tier processor, a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, faster wired charging, wireless charging and up to seven years of updates. Samsung lists six OS generations and six years of security updates for the A57. There is no fair single price gap to quote: Samsung’s announced U.S. starting price and Motorola’s displayed U.K. price cover different markets and configurations.
Samsung Galaxy A57 vs Motorola Signature specs
The figures below are manufacturer-listed specifications, not results from controlled performance, camera or battery testing. Motorola notes that specifications can vary by market, and Samsung’s product specifications are regional.

How the spec differences affect the choice
Processor and display
Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while Samsung lists the Exynos 1680. That makes the Signature the higher-tier processor on paper, but these specifications alone do not establish how much faster it performs in everyday use or demanding apps. No controlled benchmark comparison is available here.

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11The Signature also has the slightly larger listed screen: 6.8 inches versus 6.7 inches. Motorola specifies a resolution of 2780 × 1264 and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Samsung’s cited A57 specifications establish the screen size but do not provide a comparable refresh-rate figure here, so a direct rate comparison is not warranted.

Camera coverage
The clearest hardware difference is the third rear camera. The A57 has a 5MP macro module; the Signature has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. That gives the Motorola a dedicated listed lens for optical reach, alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. Megapixel counts and lens types describe hardware, not photo quality: they do not prove which phone takes better pictures.
Battery, charging and protection
The Signature’s listed battery capacity is 5,200mAh, compared with 5,000mAh for the A57. Motorola lists up to 90W wired and 50W wireless charging; Samsung’s launch information lists 45W wired charging for the A57. These capacities and maximum charging rates do not establish real-world battery life or charging times, which depend on usage and conditions.

Software support
Samsung promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the A57. Motorola states up to seven years of OS upgrades and security patches for the Signature. Motorola’s stated maximum is longer, though the actual timing of updates can vary.

What is the price difference?
The available official prices are not a like-for-like comparison. Samsung announced a U.S. unlocked starting price of $549.99 for the Galaxy A57 5G, with U.S. availability beginning April 9, 2026. Motorola’s U.K. product page displayed £850, reduced from £900, for the Signature with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage when checked in 2026. The Motorola price was promotional and may change.
Because the figures are in different currencies, markets and configurations, subtracting one from the other would not produce a meaningful price difference. For a current comparison, check manufacturer or authorized-retailer prices in your country and match storage capacity as closely as possible.

Which is better: Galaxy A57 or Motorola Signature?
Choose the Galaxy A57 if
- Its local price is substantially lower than the Signature’s for a comparable configuration.
- You prefer Samsung’s software ecosystem and consider six generations of OS upgrades plus six years of security updates sufficient.
- You do not need a dedicated telephoto camera or the Signature’s faster listed charging features.
Choose the Motorola Signature if
- You value its listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and 3x optical periscope telephoto camera.
- Up to 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging or the larger listed battery capacity matters to you.
- You want the longer stated update-support ceiling and are comfortable with the local price premium, if there is one.
Before buying, compare local prices for similar storage, then weigh camera focal-length coverage, display size and refresh rate, charging options, protection ratings and update commitments. The specifications support a hardware comparison, but they do not establish which phone is faster in measured use, takes better photos or lasts longer on a charge.
