Samsung announced the Galaxy A27 5G on June 25, 2026, and its India product page lists the Galaxy M47 5G launch date as June 29, 2026. The table compares specifications published for the India-market models; it does not represent independent performance or camera testing.

Specifications are from Samsung’s A27 announcement and India product pages for the Galaxy A27 5G and Galaxy M47 5G. Features and variants can differ by market or configuration.
Display and performance
On paper, the display specifications are closely matched: both phones have a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Samsung Electronics described the A27 display as a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate in its June 25, 2026 announcement. The cited sources do not provide comparable brightness or color-calibration measurements, so the specifications alone cannot establish which screen is easier to see outdoors or looks better.

Both models are listed with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. That shared platform does not prove identical sustained speed or gaming performance: those depend on the finished phones and require comparable testing.
Camera specifications: similar on paper, not a quality verdict
Each phone has a 50 MP OIS main camera, 5 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro camera, plus a 12 MP front camera. The matching resolutions and OIS listing make the camera setups comparable by specification, but megapixels do not establish equal image quality. The cited sources do not include side-by-side photo tests or enough information to declare a camera winner.

Battery and charging: the M47 has the larger stated capacity
Samsung lists a typical 6,000 mAh battery and up to 28 hours of video playback for the M47, compared with the A27’s typical 5,000 mAh and up to 23 hours. These are manufacturer figures, not results from a controlled comparison between the two phones; actual battery life varies with use and conditions.

The M47 supports 45 W fast charging, and Samsung says its charger is sold separately. For the A27, Samsung India states that charging can reach up to 45% in 30 minutes, but the cited page does not establish a charging wattage. Do not infer that the A27 uses 45 W charging from that percentage claim.

Size, weight and software support
The phones share the same listed length and width. The M47 is 0.3 mm thicker and 6 g heavier than the A27, based on Samsung’s published dimensions. That is a modest paper difference; there is no hands-on assessment here of grip or comfort.
Samsung describes the A27 policy as up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. For the M47, Samsung lists six generations and six years of security updates from its first global launch, while noting the policy may change. Keep the distinction: the A27 wording includes “up to,” and the M47’s security-update period has a stated starting point.

Galaxy M47 5G price in India and the A27 price difference
A defensible current price difference is not established by the cited information: the M47 has price snapshots, but there is no comparable same-date A27 price. Samsung India’s cited A27 page identifies an 8 GB/128 GB variant but does not give a matching current price. Check both phones at the same time, from the same seller and for the same RAM and storage, while accounting for color, offers, and stock.

- Launch-period M47 figures: Gadgets 360 reported on June 29, 2026 that the India price started at ₹22,999 including coupon offers; its report said full variant pricing had not yet been provided. On July 1, it reported ₹25,999 for 6 GB/128 GB, ₹28,999 for 8 GB/128 GB, and ₹33,999 for 8 GB/256 GB, along with offer details. These are dated launch-period figures, not guaranteed current prices. - Later M47 listing snapshot: A Gadgets 360 listing accessed October 7, 2026 showed a ₹27,980 starting price and higher prices for some configurations and colors. Treat that as a volatile listing snapshot, not Samsung’s MSRP; verify the live seller price on the listing.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the M47 if battery capacity is your priority. Its listed battery is 1,000 mAh larger, and Samsung’s stated video-playback figure is higher. The figures are not a substitute for independent battery testing.
- Consider the A27 if a slightly thinner, lighter phone matters more. Samsung lists it at 7.8 mm and 200 g, versus 8.1 mm and 206 g for the M47.
- Do not choose based on a supposed camera, screen, or processor winner from these specifications alone. The cited specs are similar, but they do not settle comparative image quality, display visibility, or sustained performance.
- Make value the final check, not an assumed price gap. Compare live India prices for the same storage and RAM tier, and include any conditions attached to coupons or other offers.
