How to choose a template for your project
A demo is a visual preview, not proof that the downloaded code fits your application. Use the demo to shortlist options, then inspect the actual source and test it in the app where it will run.
- Check the Bootstrap version. Confirm the version named for the download and whether its dependencies fit your project. A page that says a template works inside multiple Bootstrap versions does not establish that every individual download supports all of them.
- Read the license and attribution requirements. Confirm the terms attached to the exact download, including any attribution conditions. Do not assume a free download is unrestricted or that one provider’s MIT license applies to another template.
- Inspect the source and dependencies. Determine whether the download is a standalone page or relies on additional stylesheets, scripts, fonts, or assets. Check that its code is understandable and does not introduce conflicts into your existing project.
