Fractal Design announced the Pop 2 Air on January 21, 2026. It pairs a mesh front and ventilated top with three included fans and an integrated guide intended to direct airflow toward the graphics card. Those are manufacturer-described design features—not proof that the guide lowers GPU temperatures by a measured amount.
What the Pop 2 Air offers
The Pop 2 Air is a mid-tower case built around airflow and component compatibility. Fractal Design’s announcement describes its mesh front, ventilated top panel, and integrated air guide as features intended to direct airflow toward the graphics card. The manufacturer has not published an independently measured temperature reduction attributable to that guide. Fractal Design’s January 21, 2026 announcement presents the design as a cooling focus, not as a quantified thermal result.

The official Black TG product page lists three included Aspect 12X 120 mm fans. Fan inclusion and RGB details can differ by SKU, so confirm the exact product page for the color and version you are considering. The Black TG specifications include ATX, Micro ATX, and Mini ITX motherboard support, plus a 180 mm maximum PSU length.

Fractal Design lists a maximum graphics-card length of 416 mm. Its support documentation gives a maximum GPU width of 175 mm, including cabling. The dimensions are separate limits: check your card’s length and width, then allow room for its power connector and cable bend rather than treating the published maximum as a guarantee for every card and cable combination. The Black TG product page lists the length limit; Fractal’s GPU-clearance guidance covers width and cabling.
#1 Best Overall
- Accommodates ATX / mATX / Mini ITX Motherboards
- Vividly colored motherboard plate, drive trays and exterior accents (Pop Air RGB TG Cyan/Magenta/Green/Orange Core)
- Easily mounted tempered glass side panel lets you showcase your components (TG models only)
- Up to three HDDs and six SSDs (or two HDDs and five SSDs with one optical bay in use)
- Comes with three of our 120 mm Aspect 12 RGB (Pop Air RGB TG) fans (and supports two more for a total of five)
If you plan to mount the GPU vertically, Fractal cautions that a large air cooler can interfere with GPU width. Its support FAQ says the Flex 2 riser is compatible, but reduces maximum GPU length by 15 mm. Measure the card and account for that reduction before choosing a vertical mount. Fractal’s clearance FAQ provides these limits.
What radiator size fits in the Pop 2 Air?
The top supports 120, 240, or 360 mm radiator formats, while the rear supports a 120 mm radiator. A nominal radiator size alone does not establish fit: Fractal’s support guidance limits a top radiator to 407 mm long and 121 mm wide, with motherboard components up to 47 mm high in the relevant clearance area. It explicitly says 140, 280, and 420 mm top radiators are not supported, and the front does not support a radiator. Check the radiator’s actual dimensions along with memory and motherboard component heights. Fractal’s radiator-clearance guidance gives the detailed constraints.

Fans, mounts, and cooling layout
The Black TG page lists three front 120 mm fan mounts, top mounts for either three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans, and one rear 120 mm mount. It includes three Aspect 12X fans. Those mounts and included fans are distinct from radiator compatibility: for example, a top fan layout can use 140 mm fans even though a 140 mm radiator is not supported there. Confirm the mount layout and included equipment on the exact variant’s product page. Black TG specifications.
Motherboard, cooler, PSU, and cable fit
- Motherboards: ATX, Micro ATX, and Mini ITX are listed for the case.
- CPU air cooler: Maximum height is 170 mm.
- Power supply: The Black TG page lists a maximum PSU length of 180 mm.
- Cable routing: The Black TG page lists 23 mm of cable-routing space.
These figures come from Fractal Design’s Black TG listing and should be checked against the chosen SKU if you are buying another finish or RGB version. Black TG product specifications.

Ports and variant-specific details
The Black TG page lists a USB-A port, USB-C port, combo audio jack, and power button on the front I/O. The White TG RGB listing specifies two RGB-control buttons in the front I/O; the product sheet says RGB versions include RGB fans and an integrated controller. Do not assume those RGB controls or components are present on every color and configuration: check the listing for the exact SKU. Black TG listing; White TG RGB listing; Pop 2 Air product sheet.
For the Black TG variant, Fractal lists dimensions of 481 × 215 × 462 mm, a volume of 43.88 L, a net weight of 7.0 kg, SKU FD-C-POA2A-02, and a two-year warranty. These are Black TG page details, not universal specifications for every variant. Black TG product page.
What is not established: price and tested performance
The official materials cited here do not establish a current regional price or retailer stock, nor do they provide independent temperature, noise, or comparative performance results. Fractal Design’s May 2026 investor presentation characterizes the case as entry- to mid-level and says early reviews highlighted price-to-performance, but that is the company’s own summary, not a quantified benchmark or independent consensus measure.
