The Fortnite Hollow Knight Bundle is listed at 2,000 V-Bucks, but the official listings do not show that it costs more than Hollow Knight or Hollow Knight: Silksong in dollars. V-Bucks are not sold at a fixed dollar rate across regions and platforms, so the comparison only holds once you know what you would pay in cash for 2,000 V-Bucks where you live. Until that is checked, the headline claim is unverified.
What the bundle includes
Epic’s official Fortnite bundle page lists three cosmetics, each in a different slot:
- The Knight, a sidekick
- Hallownest Grub, a back bling
- The Knight’s Nail, a pickaxe
The bundle is the only offer with all three items. The Knight also has its own listing on a separate Fortnite page, where it is shown as a sidekick in the Hollow Knight set and bundle. That standalone price is not the bundle price.
The prices, item by item
| Item | Fortnite category | Listed price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Knight | Sidekick | 1,500 V-Bucks (standalone listing on Epic’s Fortnite page) | Not the bundle total; the bundle’s contents are priced as one offer. |
| Hallownest Grub | Back Bling | Standalone price not stated in the official listings reviewed | Included in the bundle. |
| The Knight’s Nail | Pickaxe | Standalone price not stated in the official listings reviewed | Included in the bundle. |
| Full Hollow Knight Bundle | Bundle | 2,000 V-Bucks discounted, from 2,700 V-Bucks original | The discount is 700 V-Bucks, about 26% of the original price. Listing checked October 9, 2026. |
Do not add the component prices to estimate what the bundle costs. The official pages do not state a price for two of the three items, and a sum of standalone prices is not the amount you would pay for the bundle.

Why the dollar comparison is not settled
Comparing 2,000 V-Bucks with a dollar price for a game requires a conversion, and the official sources do not provide one. Three factors matter:
- Pack pricing varies by region. Epic’s purchase options support page says Fortnite purchase options vary by platform, region, and content.
- Platform restrictions apply. Epic’s Fortnite discovery page says V-Bucks bought through the Epic Games Store cannot be used on Nintendo Switch. A Switch player needs a different purchase route, and the cash cost may differ.
- Pack sizes do not match the bundle price. If the smallest pack that covers 2,000 V-Bucks is larger than you need, the cash cost is the price of the whole pack, not a proportional share.
The current evidence supports two numbers: 2,000 V-Bucks for the bundle, and US$19.99 for Silksong on Steam’s US listing. It does not supply a matching V-Bucks cash price, nor a current same-market price for the original Hollow Knight.

The standalone game prices
| Product | Listed price | Source and date checked | Limit of the figure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fortnite Hollow Knight Bundle | 2,000 V-Bucks (discounted) | Epic Games, official Fortnite bundle page, checked October 9, 2026 | V-Bucks, not dollars; cash cost not established |
| Hollow Knight: Silksong | US$19.99 | Steam, US-facing listing, checked October 9, 2026 | US market only. The listing names Team Cherry as developer and publisher and gives a release date of September 4, 2025. |
| Hollow Knight (original) | Not established for a matching market and date | No same-market listing in the sources reviewed | Do not state a dollar price for this game without a current listing from the same storefront and region. |
| Cash cost of 2,000 V-Bucks | Not established | Depends on region, platform, and pack size | Must be checked in the Fortnite shop for your region and platform. |
How to make a fair comparison
- Open the Fortnite shop on the platform you play on and confirm that the Hollow Knight Bundle is still listed at 2,000 V-Bucks. Note the date and region.
- Find the cheapest V-Bucks purchase that covers 2,000 V-Bucks on that platform and in that region. Use the purchase screen for your platform rather than a price from another region.
- If the cheapest pack gives you more V-Bucks than the bundle needs, compare the full pack price with the game price, because you pay for the whole pack.
- Look up Silksong and Hollow Knight in the same storefront, in the same currency, and with the same tax treatment. Do not mix a US Steam price with a price from another country’s store.
- Use list prices or sale prices consistently. A sale price for one product compared against a list price for the other will skew the result.
If you complete these steps and the bundle’s cash cost is higher than both games in your market, the headline is accurate for you. If it is lower or close, the claim does not hold for that market.
Availability window
The bundle’s listing ends at 12:00 AM local time on October 14, 2026, according to the official Fortnite bundle page. Epic’s add-ons support page says some add-ons may become unavailable through rotation or expiration. If you are comparing close to the deadline, recheck the shop on the day you decide, because a listing that is gone cannot be bought at the listed price.

Where the claim is spreading
A thread on r/HollowKnight dated October 8, 2026 includes posts saying the bundle “costs 22 dollars” and is “more expensive than the games.” Those are reader reactions, not verified prices. The dollar figure in them does not come from an official listing and should not be repeated as fact.
The underlying question is a fair one, and it has a clear answer once the conversion is done for your market. The 2,000 V-Bucks price is the official figure; the cash cost is the one that decides the comparison.
