Fortnitemares 2026 has 26 Nitemare quests and eight cumulative cosmetic rewards, but only seven objectives were documented as live on October 3, 2026. The quests are being released in batches, so the remaining 19 objectives are not yet verified. Each of the seven currently listed objectives awards 15,000 XP.
How many Fortnitemares 2026 quests are live?
TechWiser and Beebom report 26 Nitemare quests in total. The first objectives went live on October 1, 2026, with another batch scheduled for October 8. As of October 3, the two guides list seven objectives; the rest should be treated as unreleased or unconfirmed rather than guessed.
Epic’s instructions are to launch a Fortnite experience, open Quests from the lobby, and play to complete the objectives. Epic says quests can award XP, level-ups, or cosmetic items.

Fortnitemares rewards and quest milestones
The reward ladder unlocks cosmetics as your completed-quest total reaches each threshold. Beebom lists these eight milestones:

Some reward labels differ between guides, particularly the cosmetic types listed at 12 and 16 completions. Check the live in-game reward panel for the exact item name and image. To get the Jack-A-Nape skin, complete all 26 quests.

Can you switch between Battle Royale, Horde Rush, and Reload?
Yes. Progress is reported as shared across Battle Royale, Zero Build, Horde Rush, and Reload, so you can change modes rather than staying in one playlist. However, only the objectives listed above are currently documented; switching modes does not make unreleased objectives available.
Quest release schedule and deadline
The next quest batch was scheduled for October 8, 2026, according to TechWiser and Beebom. Beebom reports an October 31, 2026 redemption deadline. Because both dates concern a live event and may change, check the in-game event or Quests panel for the current release status and deadline.
