To try for Mythic Sonic Power Sneakers, challenge Dr. Eggman if he is present: seasonal guides identify him as the Mythic route, but the drop is chance-based, not guaranteed. A September 2026 guide listed Eggman at Green Hill Zone for v42.10. For the standard Epic version, guides report searching chests, floor loot, and Llama Supply Drops. These are seasonal directions, and continued availability after later updates has not been confirmed.
What the Sonic Power Sneakers do
Sonic Power Sneakers are an in-match gameplay item, not a cosmetic purchase. Epic Games’ v42.00 Fortnite Override update notes describe them this way: “Sonic Power Sneakers: Charge a grounded Spin Dash or perform an airborne Spin Attack.”
Choose the route for the version you want
| Route | Reported reward | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Search ordinary loot | Epic Sonic Power Sneakers | Random chance from chests, floor loot, or Llama Supply Drops; no boss fight required. |
| Challenge Dr. Eggman | Chance at Mythic Sonic Power Sneakers | A boss encounter; the sneaker drop is not guaranteed. |
These routes are reported by AllThingsHow’s guide, updated August 22, 2026. It also says sneakers may be picked up from eliminated players who carried them. The guide gives no drop rates, so there is no supported percentage or guaranteed method.

Fast sequence to try
- Check the live match information first. Look for current in-game markers and confirm the item and boss are still available before committing to a route.
- For Mythic, locate and challenge Dr. Eggman. A TimeSaver.gg guide dated September 6, 2026 listed him at Green Hill Zone for v42.10. Follow the current in-game marker rather than treating that earlier location as guaranteed.
- For Epic, search ordinary loot as you move. Check chests and floor loot, and take a look at Llama Supply Drops when encountered. These are reported possibilities, not assured spawns.
- Adapt if the item or boss is missing. Do not spend the match traveling to a previously reported location if current markers or the live loot pool do not support it.
Is the item still obtainable?
Epic’s update notes establish that Sonic Power Sneakers were introduced in Chapter 7 Season 4 and explain their abilities; they are not a live loot table. The seasonal routes above come from secondary guides. TimeSaver.gg reported Chapter 7 Season 4 dates of August 20 through October 31, 2026, and its Eggman location applied to v42.10. That does not confirm availability on October 7, 2026, or after a later hotfix.
