Chun-Li stands out from Fortnite’s other Street Fighter Outfits through her Nostalgia Variant, arcade-themed Super Cab-Masher Back Bling and built-in Lightning Kick emote. The other characters have their own alternate looks and signature cosmetics: Ryu has a Shoryuken emote, Cammy and Guile have Tactical and Glistening variants, and Blanka and Sakura bring reactive or victory-themed accessories. These are digital cosmetics, so the differences are visual and cosmetic rather than gameplay advantages.
How Chun-Li compares with the other Street Fighter Outfits
In Fortnite’s terminology, these cosmetics are called Outfits, though players commonly call them skins. The most useful points of comparison are each character’s alternate style, included Back Bling, built-in emote, and any separately sold or bundled gear.
| Outfit | Styles and inspiration | Signature cosmetics | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chun-Li | Classic Outfit and Nostalgia Variant | Super Cab-Masher Back Bling and built-in Lightning Kick emote. The Seven Star Flashing Flail Pickaxe was sold separately. | The Nostalgia look and arcade-themed accessories define her set. |
| Ryu | Traditional white gi, black belt and red headband, or Battle variant | Training Bag Back Bling and built-in Shoryuken emote | His announced options contrast his traditional look with the Battle variant. |
| Cammy | Classic Outfit and Tactical Cammy Variant | Borealis Backer Back Bling; the Cammy & Guile bundle included both Outfits and Back Blings, plus a loading screen bonus. | The Tactical variant and Delta Red accessories distinguish her set. |
| Guile | Classic green fatigues and Glistening Guile Variant | K.O. Backbling. A separate gear bundle listed the Knuckle Buster Pickaxe, Delta Red Bowie Blade Pickaxe and V-Trigger Vector Glider. | The Glistening variant offers an alternative to his classic fatigues. |
| Blanka | Blanka Outfit and Blanka Delgado alt Style, inspired by Boman Delgado from Rival Schools | Blanka-Chan Back Bling, which grows more electrified as eliminations accrue during a match; built-in Blanka Backflip emote. The Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe was also announced. | The reactive Back Bling and crossover-inspired style are distinctive. |
| Sakura | Sakura Outfit and Sakura Gym alt Style, inspired by a Street Fighter IV alternate | Hanakaze Claw Back Bling and built-in Sakura’s Victory Sway emote. The Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe and Kayari Buta Glider were also announced. | Her Gym alternate and victory-themed cosmetics give the set its character. |
What makes Chun-Li’s set different?
Nostalgia Variant
Chun-Li’s alternate is named the Nostalgia Variant. Epic’s February 20, 2021 announcement describes it alongside her Classic Outfit, making the two looks the clearest visual distinction within her set. It is a style choice, not a gameplay change.

The Super Cab-Masher Back Bling and Lightning Kick emote are the signature accessories associated with Chun-Li. The emote is built into the Outfit; the Seven Star Flashing Flail Pickaxe was identified as sold separately, not as part of the Outfit’s included cosmetics.

How the other Street Fighter characters differ
Ryu: traditional gi or Battle variant
Ryu’s two announced looks are his traditional white gi, black belt and red headband, or the Battle variant. His set pairs a Training Bag Back Bling with the built-in Shoryuken emote, giving him a different signature move and accessory from Chun-Li.
Cammy and Guile: variants plus distinct bundle contents
Cammy’s alternate is Tactical Cammy, while Guile’s is Glistening Guile. Epic’s August 3, 2021 announcement describes a Cammy & Guile bundle containing both Outfits and their Back Blings, with a loading screen bonus. It also describes a separate gear bundle containing the Knuckle Buster and Delta Red Bowie Blade Pickaxes and the V-Trigger Vector Glider. The gear bundle should not be confused with the Outfit bundle.
