Flipkart’s 13th Big Billion Days sale starts on October 9, 2026, with early access beginning October 8 for Plus, BLACK, and Flipkart credit card members. The company’s October 6 announcement lays out the event’s selection, seller participation, and delivery-network expansion. It does not state an end date, a full offer list, or item-level prices, and the figures below are Flipkart’s own claims rather than independently verified results.
When the sale starts and who gets early access
The main sale begins on October 9, 2026. Early access starts a day earlier, on October 8, and is limited to three groups: Flipkart Plus members, BLACK members, and holders of the Flipkart credit card. Everyone else enters on the public start date. Flipkart has not published a final end date in the announcement, so plan on checking the event page for that detail rather than assuming a window.

The sale was first previewed in a September 16, 2026 campaign release built around the “Luck Badal Sakta Hai” theme. That release set the early-access date, while the October 6 announcement is the more detailed source for operational and seller information.
What Flipkart says is new for shoppers
Flipkart says the event carries more than 150 million products across everyday essentials, flagship electronics, premium fashion, beauty, large appliances, and festive gifts. The company also says the selection available to customers is twice the size of the new selection it offered in the previous edition. These are company-reported figures about catalogue breadth, not measures of price or availability for any particular item.

Discovery through text, voice and images
Flipkart describes a discovery layer that lets shoppers search by typing, speaking, or uploading an image. A conversational AI assistant and a personalised feed are also part of the experience it describes. The announcement does not explain how the assistant ranks results or how well it performs, so treat these as product features the company is promoting rather than tested improvements.
Flipkart Minutes
For quick delivery, Flipkart says Flipkart Minutes will offer more than 77,000 products across more than 1,400 categories in over 150 cities. Availability will vary by city and product, and the announcement does not give a delivery time for any specific location.

How the event supports sellers
Flipkart reports its highest-ever count of participating sellers for this edition, with more than 60% more transacting sellers than the previous year. Its 0% commission offer for fashion price points is credited with bringing 75% new sellers onto the platform ahead of the event. Both figures are the company’s account of its own seller intake and should be read that way.

Fulfilment capacity: what was added
Flipkart’s capacity claims are the most concrete operational part of the announcement. The table below separates what the company says it added from what those additions do not prove.
