Fizz and Metrolinx announced a multi-year partnership on February 2, 2026, making Fizz the presenting partner of GO Transit’s Express Train Service. For eligible GO riders who are new to Fizz, the current promotion offers a one-time $25 discount and 80 GB of bonus data when they sign up with code TRAIN. The data is promotional—not an ongoing monthly plan allowance—and the offer can change.
What the Fizz–Metrolinx partnership includes
The partnership announcement described branded displays at multiple GO stations and a Fizz-themed train, alongside Fizz’s role as presenting partner of GO Transit’s Express Train Service. It is a multi-year brand and transit advertising partnership; the announcement does not say it changes GO fares, transit operations or onboard connectivity. Fizz’s February 2, 2026 announcement called it the company’s most significant transit collaboration in Ontario to date. That is Fizz’s own characterization.
What the current offer gives eligible GO riders
The GO Transit promotion page, published August 11, 2026, and Fizz’s offer page describe the current deal as a one-time $25 discount and 80 GB of bonus data for eligible new Fizz members. The GO page says the bonus data is to be used within 90 days. See the GO Transit promotion page and Fizz offer page for the live terms.
The discount was different at launch: Fizz’s February 2 announcement advertised $40 off plus 80 GB. The later official promotion pages list $25 off plus 80 GB, so use the later amount when considering the current offer and confirm it on the live pages before signing up.

Who qualifies and how to redeem the promotion
The offer is for GO riders who are new to Fizz, in Ontario areas where Fizz subscriptions are available. Fizz says to enter code TRAIN when activating the first plan. Activation can use either an eSIM or a physical SIM.
- Check the current offer page and confirm that Fizz service is available in your area.
- Choose a Fizz plan and an eSIM or physical SIM.
- During first-plan activation, enter TRAIN to claim the promotion.
- Review the live offer terms and plan details before completing activation.
Is the 80 GB an ongoing monthly allowance?
No. The 80 GB is described as bonus or perk data, not as a recurring monthly allowance included in every billing cycle. Fizz describes the bonus as four 20 GB perks. The GO promotion page says the data must be used within 90 days. Fizz’s general plan information says gifted data and rewards are excluded from regular plan-data rollover, so do not assume unused promotional data becomes part of a later month’s allowance.

Fizz’s February 2 launch announcement said the four perks had to be activated within 90 days and that each 20 GB perk lasted 30 days after activation; it also said promotional perk data would not roll over. Because the current offer page is the controlling reference for an active promotion and those detailed timing statements appeared in the launch announcement, check the linked current terms for the rules that apply when you activate.
How to judge whether the offer is worthwhile
The one-time discount and temporary data are only part of the cost and value. Compare the plan’s recurring monthly price after the discount ends, any applicable charges, the regular monthly data allowance, and whether you are likely to use the promotional data before it expires. Also verify network availability and device compatibility where you live and travel. Fizz says 5G access depends on a suitable plan, compatible phone and available coverage; the bonus data should not be treated as proof of coverage or service quality on a GO train.

How long is the promotion available?
Fizz calls the offer limited-time and says it will communicate an end date ahead of time on its offer page. The GO page says Fizz may modify or discontinue the promotion at its discretion. The published pages reviewed do not establish a fixed end date, so check the live terms before relying on the offer.
