Hulu does not publish a dedicated definition or fix for error code P-DEV320 in the Help Center material available here, so the code alone cannot identify the cause. Try these three general playback checks: reopen Hulu, check your connection against Hulu’s speed recommendations, then update the app and device software. They may help, but none is a guaranteed P-DEV320-specific fix.
1. Try another title, then reopen Hulu
First check whether the problem is limited to one show, movie, or recording. Start a different title. If that plays, the issue may be limited to the original item rather than playback across Hulu.
If the second title also fails, fully close Hulu and launch it again. This refreshes the app session. Hulu includes trying another item and closing the app among its general playback suggestions; those steps are not a code-specific remedy.

These are Hulu’s recommendations, published September 28, 2026, not guarantees that playback will work at those speeds or that a slower connection causes P-DEV320. Hulu says reduced quality may be possible at 1.5 Mbps; simultaneous video streams and other internet activity can require additional bandwidth. See Hulu’s internet speed recommendations.
Compare the scope of the problem: does it happen with one title or several, on one device or more than one, and on one network or another? These comparisons can help narrow down where to investigate, but they are not an official P-DEV320 diagnostic flowchart.

3. Update Hulu and your device
Check the app store for a Hulu update, then check your device’s system settings for a software update. The exact menu names vary by device; Hulu provides device-specific update instructions.
If playback still fails, clear Hulu’s cache or app data only if your device offers that option, since the steps and effects vary by platform. Hulu lists cache or data clearing among its general playback guidance, but does not identify it as a specific fix for P-DEV320. Its playback troubleshooting guidance covers these broader checks.

When to contact Hulu
If the error continues across multiple titles or devices after these checks, contact Hulu rather than assuming a particular device is at fault. In Hulu’s official Contact Us flow, choose Streaming Issues to reach support by chat or phone. Support options and availability can change, so check the live flow.
