Published specifications give two materially different capacity and energy combinations. The documents do not establish whether the difference reflects market variants, revisions, or labeling conventions, so neither pair should be treated as definitive for every RX628DX1.

These are figures stated in documents, not results from a new energy or capacity test. Before comparing the unit with another fridge, photograph its rating plate and match the exact model identification to the market-specific manual and energy label. Use that label’s annual-energy figure when estimating running costs.
The fiche also reports frost-free compartments, 42 dB airborne noise emissions, and a four-star frozen-food compartment for its RX628DX1 entry. Treat those as fiche-specific details, not guaranteed specifications for every market version.

Will it fit in your kitchen and through the delivery route?
Published dimensions also vary by source and measurement convention. The 2018 sheet gives a cabinet depth excluding the handle as well as a separate depth including it; CHOICE gives a different depth and suggested installation dimensions.

Measure the actual appliance, including its handle, and check the installation guide for the exact unit. Allow for the required ventilation and door swing, and measure the complete delivery path—doorways, hallways, stairs, and turns—not just the kitchen opening. The source measurements are not interchangeable guarantees of the space your particular unit needs.

What features should you expect?
The RX628DX/RX628DW family guide describes the refrigerator’s features and functions and shows a small control/dispenser panel on the left door. A retailer review of the related white RX628DW1 describes Fast Freeze and Max Cool modes, Holiday mode, adjustable shelves and door bins, humidity-adjustable crisper drawers, LED lighting, and a manual twist ice maker. That is family-model context, not an independent test or a DX1-specific feature list; inspect the exact unit and its manual rather than assuming every feature carries across.
What should you check when buying a used RX628DX1?
Because CHOICE identifies it as discontinued, make the purchase decision on the exact appliance’s identity, fit, condition, and support—not on a model name alone.

- Verify the model and rating plate. Photograph the complete label. Match the model identification and market details to the manual and energy documentation before accepting capacity or annual-energy claims.
- Confirm fit before arranging delivery. Measure the cabinet and handles, required clearances, door swing, and route into the home. Do not rely on a listing’s rounded dimensions alone.
- Observe its operation. Check that it powers on, that controls and dispenser functions present on that unit respond, and that both compartments appear to cool normally. The available public test listing does not provide detailed scores for cooling stability or reliability.
- Inspect condition and service options. Look over doors, seals, shelves, bins, drawers, controls, and visible signs of damage.
