The Fisher & Paykel Series 7 RF730QZUVB1 is a 690 L quad-door refrigerator freezer with an ice maker, water dispenser and variable-temperature compartment. Its documented dimensions and water connection make installation fit an important first check. The available public evidence confirms the model’s specifications, but does not reveal enough of independent testing to support a performance verdict.
What the RF730QZUVB1 offers
The RF730QZUVB1 is a French-hinge, Black Glass refrigerator freezer in Fisher & Paykel’s Series 7 range. Manufacturer-listed features include ActiveSmart Foodcare, humidity control, a frost-free freezer, inverter-controlled compressor, Sabbath mode, SmartTouch controls, Wi-Fi functions, fast freeze and ice boost. These are feature descriptions, not independent evidence of food-preservation or reliability results.
Its internal variable-temperature compartment can be set to fridge, chill, soft-freeze or freezer mode, according to Fisher & Paykel’s Australia quick reference guide dated 21 August 2026. That flexibility may help allocate space for different types of food, but the listed modes do not establish independently tested results.

Capacity: listed volume versus gross capacity
Fisher & Paykel’s 2026 Australian guide lists 690 L of capacity and 744 L total gross capacity. The 690 L listed volume comprises 453 L for the refrigerator, 118 L for the freezer and 119 L for the variable-temperature compartment. These are different capacity measures; use the listed-volume figure when comparing against another appliance only if that appliance’s figure is measured on the same basis.

Check the installation space and water supply
The Australian 2026 guide gives exterior dimensions of 1900 mm high × 905 mm wide × 748 mm deep, with depth without the door listed as 660 mm. It specifies minimum internal cabinetry dimensions of 1920 mm high × 945 mm wide × 690 mm deep, plus clearances of at least 30 mm at the rear, 20 mm on each side and 20 mm above. Measure the intended space and account for the door swing, surrounding cabinetry and delivery route; the cabinet dimensions alone do not establish that the refrigerator will fit every kitchen.
A Fisher & Paykel NZ/Australia specification guide dated 14 October 2021 lists a weight of 145 kg, a 3.5 m water connection kit with tap adaptor and a water pressure range of 150–827 kPa (22–120 psi) at 20°C. The guide says it is not installation guidance and that product information may vary. Confirm the current installation documentation and local installer requirements for the market where the appliance will be installed.

Energy figures depend on the market
The Australian 2026 guide lists a 4-star energy rating and energy use of 463 kWh/year. It also gives an in-use energy carbon estimate of 282.5 kgCO2e/year. Fisher & Paykel’s New Zealand product page separately reports 44.0 kgCO2e/year. Those carbon figures are market-specific estimates and should not be treated as directly comparable or as a universal emissions value for the model.
Water, ice and filter upkeep
The refrigerator has an internal water dispenser, automatic ice maker and replaceable internal water filter. Fisher & Paykel lists replacement filter part 847200, also identified as FWC3. Check that the part and connection details match the exact model and market before ordering or arranging installation.

CHOICE identifies the RF730QZUVB1 as a French-door model and gives a 2023 test year; its public page also lists claimed energy use of 463 kWh/year. The accessible page does not expose the expert rating, detailed test results, pros and cons or testing standard. That public information therefore cannot substantiate a positive or negative performance verdict, and the manufacturer’s feature claims should not be mistaken for test findings.
Price and availability in New Zealand
When accessed on 7 October 2026, Fisher & Paykel’s New Zealand product page showed a price of NZ$4,799 and asked buyers to enter a postcode to check stock and delivery. Treat that as a regional price snapshot, not a global quote or guaranteed current offer. Availability and delivery depend on location.

Who should consider this refrigerator?
