The Fisher & Paykel CI604CTPB1 is a 60cm, four-zone induction cooktop with a specified 230V supply, 19.1A rated current and 4.4kW maximum power. Its main appeal is a relatively low-current specification alongside familiar features such as PowerBoost and Touch&Slide controls. But the Australia product page labels it “OUTGOING,” and neither the maker’s specifications nor feature descriptions establish how it performs in independent cooking tests. Check local availability, installation requirements and your cookware before deciding.
What the CI604CTPB1 is—and its current status
CI604CTPB1 is a Series 5, 60cm induction cooktop from Fisher & Paykel with four cooking zones. The manufacturer’s Australia product page marks it “OUTGOING.” That status is specific to the Australian listing; it does not confirm stock in every market or identify a successor. Check with local retailers or Fisher & Paykel for current availability before planning a replacement.
The Australia page displayed a price of AUD $1,299 when accessed in 2026. Prices and stock can change, so treat that as a dated Australian listing rather than a current quote for other regions. Fisher & Paykel CI604CTPB1 product page

A preliminary specification guide dated 2023 lists a nominal cutout of 560mm × 490mm, but explicitly warns that it is not installation guidance. Do not use those preliminary measurements alone to cut a benchtop or approve a replacement. Have an installer check the current installation guide and measure the actual opening, clearances and surrounding cabinetry. Electrical requirements: what “low current” does and doesn’t mean
The listed supply is 230V, rated current is 19.1A, and maximum power is 4.4kW. These are product specifications, not confirmation that an existing circuit, wiring or connection point is suitable. “Low current” does not certify compatibility with a particular home electrical installation.

- PORTABLE INDUCTION BURNER: Duxtop induction cooktop uses 110/120 V 15 amp electrical outlet–standard in all North American homes. ETL listed and built to North American electrical standards. It is lightweight and compact for easy handling and storage
- Choose from 20 preset power levels (100 to 1800 W) and 20 preset temperature level settings (100 °F to 460 °F). With an 83% energy efficiency, induction burner is more efficient than traditional gas or electric stoves
- DIGITAL LCD SENSOR: Touch control panel: child safety lock keeps the cooking and timer settings from being accidentally changed once they have been set; fast boil button; keep warm button (for 1-30 minutes at 140 °F); up to 10-hour timer button
- Induction stoves rely on cookware to heat, so it’s essential to choose magnetic bottom cookware with a minimum diameter of 5 inches. Auto-pan detection will shut off automatically after 60 seconds if no cookware, or the incorrect cookware is detected
- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
Fisher & Paykel cautions: “Specific electrical situations may vary. Please consult with a licensed electrician.” Ask a licensed electrician to assess the installation against the current manufacturer documentation and local electrical requirements before purchase or connection. Induction requires compatible cookware. Fisher & Paykel lists pan detection and explains that the cooktop heats when cookware is detected on the ceramic surface. Cast iron and magnetic stainless steel are common compatible types, but check your existing pots and pans rather than assuming they all work—or that you need to replace them. A pan that is not detected will not heat as expected. Fisher & Paykel Australia product page

Safety features and the glass surface
Fisher & Paykel lists pan detection, a keylock, safety timeout, spillage auto-off and surface-hot indicators. The maker describes the surface as flat ceramic glass and says it is easy to clean; that is a manufacturer claim, not a comparative cleaning assessment.
Although induction heats through detected cookware, the glass can still be hot after cooking. The surface-hot indicators are a reminder to follow the manual’s safety guidance and avoid treating the cooktop as cool immediately after use. Fisher & Paykel Australia product page
What this review can—and cannot—establish
The available manufacturer documents establish the model’s listed dimensions, electrical figures, zone ratings, controls and safety features. They do not provide independent testing of cooking speed, noise, durability, cleaning effort or comparative performance against other cooktops. Buyers who care about those outcomes should seek independent testing for this exact model rather than infer results from feature names or wattage alone.
