The FiR Audio Redux 6 is a six-driver hybrid in-ear monitor offered in universal-fit and custom-fit versions. FiR Audio lists both at $3,499, but the available evidence supports a review of its published design and ownership details—not a definitive sound-quality verdict. Treat its descriptions of bass, treble, and soundstage as the manufacturer’s claims, and audition the IEM if possible before making a purchase at this price.
What is the FiR Audio Redux 6?
FiR Audio calls the Redux 6 the final installment in its Frontier Series. It is available as a universal IEM, which uses ear tips, or a custom IEM made for the buyer’s ears. The manufacturer’s product pages list both versions at $3,499; prices, taxes, and dealer terms can vary. See the Redux 6 custom listing and Redux 6 universal listing for current terms.
This is a premium purchase, and the evidence available here does not include a documented independent listening review or controlled comparison. The review below therefore distinguishes published specifications and FiR Audio’s design rationale from performance conclusions that have not been independently established.
Redux 6 specifications
FiR Audio publishes the following configuration and specifications for the Redux 6. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

The driver count and frequency range describe the design and stated operating range; they do not, on their own, establish how the IEM sounds in use. FiR Audio characterizes its intended presentation as thick and tactile, with HDX meant to extend high frequencies while retaining body. That is brand-authored tuning language, not an independent listening finding.
What FiR Audio’s technologies are intended to do
FiR Audio presents four technologies as part of the Redux 6 design. The descriptions below explain the manufacturer’s rationale; they should not be read as independently verified acoustic or comfort results.
Rank #2
- 【SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY】- CCA CRA in ear monitor headphones feature upgraded dual magnetic driver, It makes low frequency to be more extraordinary, with better separation of vocals and music. At the same time, electronic frequency division makes audio transition more fluid and natural. Let you have a better music experience
- 【ULTRA-THIN DIAPHRAGM】- Diaphragm thickness: 3.8μ, ultra-thin diaphragm born to be outstanding sound quality. It exceeds the liquid crystal polymer film and carbon nanotube film, with stronger amplitude and higher frequency expansion. They reproduce music and movies with a well-balanced sound, providing a rich tone without overemphasizing the bass
- 【LIGHT & COMFORTABLE WEAR EXPERRIENCE】- Ergonomic cavity structure, lightweight cavity with auricle PU memory hook, effectively reduces the pressure on the ear, even if wearing for a long time without pressure. Provide a stable and comfortable wearing experience

At the same time, using a new balance line with lower impedance enables better transmission. The OFC double-line parallel cable effectively resists tangling and knots, ensuring a longer lifespan. They work with all Androids, tablets, mp3 players, and related devices with a standard 3.5 mm jack
- 【GIFT-WORTHY SOUND PERFORMANCE】- Perfect for musicians, singers, and audio enthusiasts, CRAiem earphones deliver crystal-clear sound with rich detail across all frequencies, making them ideal for performances, recording, gaming, and more. A great gift for any music lover
Atom XR venting
FiR Audio says Atom XR vents pressure from the sealed ear canal and associates the system with longer listening and a wider, more natural soundstage. That description does not establish a comfort benefit for every listener, nor does venting guarantee a particular soundstage.
HDX crossover
FiR Audio describes HDX, or High Driver X Over, as two high-frequency balanced-armature drivers with a standalone crossover network. The company says this arrangement is intended to differ from tandem operation and provide fuller high-frequency response with detail. That intended effect has not been independently demonstrated here.

Kinetic Bass
FiR Audio says its open, outward-facing 10 mm dynamic driver directs low frequencies toward the ear cartilage. The brand describes the result as tactile or visceral bass; those terms are its characterization, not a measured or independently confirmed result.
Open Acoustics
FiR Audio describes Open Acoustics as a combination of Open Drivers, Sound Reactor, and Sound Reflector, which it says is designed to produce smooth, airy highs. The retrieved product information does not provide independent measurements that establish that effect.

Universal or custom: which version should you consider?
The main practical choice is between replaceable tips and a custom shell made from ear impressions. Fit is personal: a universal ear tip needs a good seal, while a custom version depends on usable impressions and a suitable fit. Neither the brand’s venting claims nor the existence of a custom option is a guarantee of comfort or isolation.

| Universal | Machined aluminum dark-nickel shells, sapphire glass faceplates, interchangeable Atom XR modules, and a leather protective case; one-year warranty listed by FiR Audio | Try to confirm tip fit and seal, and check the seller’s audition, return, and warranty terms |

These details come from FiR Audio’s universal and custom listings; verify that the terms remain current before ordering. The custom build estimate begins after the company receives usable impressions, not necessarily on the date an order is placed.

How the Redux 6 compares with the Radon 6
FiR Audio’s published figures offer a limited specification comparison, not a sound-quality ranking. The manufacturer lists the Radon 6 at 28 ohms, with an electrostatic ultra-high driver in its driver mix and a $3,299 custom price on the retrieved page. The Redux 6 is listed at 34.3 ohms, uses two HDX high balanced-armature drivers, and is listed at $3,499. These prices and specifications are manufacturer-published and may change.
| Model | Published driver distinction | Listed impedance | Retrieved listed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Redux 6 | Two HDX high balanced-armature drivers | 34.3 ohms | $3,499 for universal and custom listings |
| Radon 6 | Driver mix includes an electrostatic ultra-high driver | 28 ohms | $3,299 for the custom listing |
FiR Audio’s Radon 6 page is the source for the Radon figures. The available information does not establish that either model sounds better, suits a particular genre, or is easier to drive in practice.
Buying and ownership checks
- Try before committing when possible. Ask a specialist dealer whether a demo is available; do not assume a listing means a local demo or a particular return policy.
- Confirm current terms. Check the live product page or retailer for price, stock, shipping region, warranty handling, and return conditions. Specialist listings have appeared at Elise Audio, Audio46, and Bloom Audio; their availability and policies can change.
- Verify accessory compatibility. FiR Audio lists cables, tips, cases, Atom modules, and tools in its store, but that catalog alone does not establish that a particular replacement cable fits the Redux 6. Confirm compatibility with FiR Audio or the seller before buying.
- Budget for the fit route. Universal fit avoids custom impressions but depends on getting an appropriate seal with tips. Custom fit requires usable impressions and a build wait; confirm the current process and lead time with the manufacturer.
Is the FiR Audio Redux 6 worth $3,499?
There is not enough independent listening evidence here to say that the Redux 6 is worth its listed price on sound quality alone. The case for considering it rests on what FiR Audio publishes: a six-driver hybrid design, its named technologies, two fit options, and the universal version’s listed materials and included accessories. Those facts describe the product, not whether its sound or fit will justify the cost for you.
