To add DISH Anywhere to a Samsung Smart TV, press Home, open Apps, search for “DISH Anywhere,” and select Install if it appears. The app is not confirmed for every Samsung model: DISH says it works on “many Smart TVs” but does not name compatible Samsung models. If it is missing from your TV’s app catalog, DISH lists Amazon Fire TV Stick as an alternative way to watch on a TV.
How to search for and install DISH Anywhere on Samsung TV

Connect your Samsung TV to the internet. Sign in to a Samsung account if the TV prompts you to access the app store; Samsung says an account is required for that access.

Press Home on the remote and open Apps. Search for DISH Anywhere.

If the app appears, select it and choose Install. When installation finishes, select Open.

Sign in using your DISH account if prompted. DISH describes the app as communicating with a Hopper DVR over your home internet connection.
Samsung’s instructions describe this general Apps installation flow, while noting that menu names and features can vary by TV model, software version, and region. Samsung’s app installation guidance was last updated July 13, 2026.

Why DISH Anywhere may not appear
An app missing from search is not necessarily a problem with your DISH account. Samsung says app availability can vary by model, software version, and region. DISH’s statement that the service is available on “many Smart TVs” does not confirm that it is available on every Samsung TV.
In a May 2025 Samsung Community thread, one DU6950 owner said they could not find DISH Anywhere. A Samsung moderator replied that an app missing from Smart Hub may not have a compatible version for that model. This is a model-specific user report, not a definitive catalog listing for all Samsung TVs. Read the Samsung Community discussion.

What to check

Confirm the TV’s model and software version, and consider whether your region affects its app catalog.

Restarting the TV or resetting Smart Hub may help with an app-store or Smart Hub problem. It cannot make an app compatible if Samsung does not offer it for that model.

Search the catalog again after checking those details. If DISH Anywhere still does not appear, use a supported external device rather than assuming the app can be added manually.

Use Fire TV Stick if the Samsung app is unavailable
DISH lists Amazon Fire TV Stick as a supported way to watch DISH Anywhere on a TV. This is an external-device option: you use the app on the Fire TV device, not as an installation in Samsung Smart Hub. Check the specific Fire TV Stick model’s current compatibility before choosing one.

DISH also lists Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Android devices, and computer access. The cited DISH page does not establish a particular screen-mirroring or casting method for Samsung TVs, so those options should not be assumed to work as a substitute for a compatible app.
Check the DISH service requirements
DISH says DISH Anywhere is included with DISH satellite service and a Hopper 2 or Hopper 3 DVR. Its description explains that the viewing device or computer uses home internet to communicate with the Hopper. See DISH’s DISH Anywhere page for its service and supported-device information.
