The FiiO LEVEL 1 is a compact stereo power amplifier for passive speakers, with USB, coaxial, RCA line-in, and Bluetooth inputs, plus physical bass and treble controls. Its headline 2 × 300 W rating is conditional: FiiO specifies it with a 600 W-or-greater power supply, while the included adapter is rated at 240 W. The published figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements, and the available evidence does not establish how the amplifier sounds in a controlled listening test.
What the FiiO LEVEL 1 is—and who it suits
The LEVEL 1 is a stereo power amplifier: it takes an audio signal and drives passive speakers. It is not a headphone amplifier, and you should not expect a headphone output. FiiO lists speaker outputs, an RCA subwoofer output, an RCA line output, and a pre output for use with an external power amplifier. Its specified adaptive speaker impedance is 4–8 Ω. FiiO’s product page and specification page describe its connections and limits.
It is a plausible fit if you need several wired and wireless source options in a small chassis, want front-panel tone controls, and have passive speakers in the stated impedance range. Before buying, check your speakers’ impedance and sensitivity, the output you need, and the power supply included with the particular unit. The wattage headline alone does not tell you how loud it will play with your speakers in your room.

Power ratings: what 2 × 300 W actually means
FiiO’s specification table gives several output figures under different conditions. The 300 W-per-channel figure is stated into 4 Ω at THD+N below 10%, with 36.5 Vrms and a 53 V/12 A supply. That is a high distortion threshold and a supply condition; it is not a guarantee of 300 W per channel with the included adapter.

FiiO says the LEVEL 1 needs a supply rated at 600 W or more to reach 600 W output. The included adapter is rated at 48 V/5 A, or 240 W, and FiiO says it provides up to 240 W output power. FiiO also specifies a 24–53 V DC input range and says a higher input voltage within that range yields higher output power. These remain manufacturer claims rather than independently verified bench results. See FiiO’s power-supply guidance and its published specifications.
For a practical comparison with another amplifier, look for output at your speaker impedance and a stated distortion level, then check whether the figure assumes a separately purchased supply. FiiO recommends its official adapter. A larger supply rating does not by itself establish sound quality or the output you will get in every setup.

Inputs, decoding, and outputs
The LEVEL 1 accepts RCA line input, USB-C USB 2.0 data, RCA coaxial, and Bluetooth. The published digital decoding limits are specific: USB supports 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz at 16- or 24-bit; coaxial supports up to 192 kHz/24-bit. The parameter page lists Bluetooth 6.0 with SBC and LDAC, while the main product page also names AAC. Because FiiO’s pages differ on AAC, confirm codec support for the exact configuration or firmware you intend to use rather than assuming the lists are identical. - Speaker output: 4 mm banana jacks; FiiO also supports direct bare-wire connection.
- Subwoofer output: RCA output intended for a powered subwoofer.
- Line output: RCA line output.
- Pre output: FiiO describes using this to feed an external power amplifier.
These outputs serve different purposes. A powered subwoofer has its own amplification; a passive subwoofer generally requires a suitable amplifier and should not be connected as though it were powered. Check the speaker and subwoofer manuals before wiring a system.

Setup and selecting an input
FiiO’s setup guidance says to select the relevant mode, connect the source, play audio, and connect the desired output. To change modes, briefly press the volume knob. The manufacturer’s input setup article covers USB, coaxial, and line input; the quick-start and downloads page links to setup materials and support downloads.
- Connect the LEVEL 1 to its power supply and connect your passive speakers to the speaker outputs, observing correct polarity and secure connections.
- Briefly press the volume knob to select the input mode you intend to use.
- Connect the matching source cable: RCA for line input, USB-C for USB audio, or RCA coaxial for coaxial audio. For Bluetooth, pair a compatible source device following its Bluetooth settings.
- Start playback and raise the volume gradually. If you are using the subwoofer or pre output, connect the appropriate equipment to that output rather than the speaker terminals.
Tone controls and FiiO Control app
Front-panel bass and treble knobs provide direct tone adjustment. FiiO lists each adjustment range as −10 to +10 levels; the page does not define those levels as a specific decibel range. The FiiO Control app adds PEQ and preset switching for digital inputs—Bluetooth, coaxial, and USB. FiiO explicitly limits those app adjustments to digital inputs, so do not expect app EQ to change RCA line-in. The physical bass and treble controls are separate hardware controls. Design, size, and build details
FiiO describes an aluminum-alloy chassis with wood side panels, offered in black/walnut and silver/maple. The volume knob also handles input selection, with separate front-panel bass and treble controls. The stated dimensions are approximately 181 × 133 × 36 mm excluding feet, and the stated weight is approximately 676 g. FiiO identifies the amplifier chip as Texas Instruments TPA3255 and refers to PurePath Ultra-HD technology; those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent evaluations of performance. What this review can—and cannot—say about sound
FiiO publishes the hardware, input formats, and output ratings above, but those figures do not establish listening quality. No controlled listening comparison or independent laboratory measurement is established here. Without documented testing that identifies the speaker load, source, supply, output level, measurement method, and comparison amplifier, claims about clarity, bass control, noise, or superiority would be unsupported.

Availability and pricing vary by region and can change. FiiO’s release announcement directs buyers to its AliExpress Official Store and advises local buyers to check with authorized sales agents for current arrival and stock information. At the time of the cited retailer observation, FiiO’s EU page listed the silver variant at €116.65 and in stock; that page says prices include 20% VAT by default and may be recalculated according to delivery address.
