In the available Geekbench 6 phone reviews, the iPhone 17 with Apple A19 scored higher than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 with Exynos 2500 in both single-core and multi-core tests. The scores are directional, not a controlled chip-versus-chip trial: they come from different phones, review runs, software environments, and conditions. The Exynos 2500 and A19 are components in their respective devices, not interchangeable standalone products.
Exynos 2500 vs Apple A19: specifications at a glance
Samsung documents the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip7, while Apple identifies the A19 as the iPhone 17 chip. Their published specifications show different CPU and graphics configurations; they do not establish a direct performance ranking by themselves.

The following Geekbench 6 figures are independent phone-review results—not measurements from one shared test session or a controlled comparison of the processors alone. The Galaxy Z Flip7 scores were reported by Android Central; the iPhone 17 figures are Tom’s Guide’s review averages. Phone design, cooling, software, and test conditions can affect results.

Why Geekbench scores can differ
Geekbench’s public iPhone 17 chart presents user-submitted Geekbench 6 results and displayed 3,197 single-core and 8,473 multi-core when accessed in 2026. Those numbers differ from Tom’s Guide’s review averages, illustrating that a chart sample and a reviewer’s test are not a single definitive score. The chart can change as submissions accumulate. What the graphics benchmarks do—and do not—show
Android Central reported 3DMark Wild Life Extreme at 3,716 and Solar Bay at 7,625 for the Galaxy Z Flip7. Tom’s Guide reported 130.97 frames per second in 3DMark Wild Life Original Unlimited for iPhone 17. These are different tests and metrics, so they cannot be compared as if they measured the same graphics workload. The available figures do not establish which GPU is faster overall.

Samsung says the Exynos 2500’s big-core performance improves by 15% over Exynos 2400, based on Samsung’s internal testing; the company notes that results vary with operating conditions and other factors. That is a manufacturer-stated comparison with an earlier Exynos processor, not independent evidence of an advantage over A19.

Which is faster, Exynos 2500 or A19?
For the specific Geekbench 6 review results cited here, A19 in iPhone 17 is ahead in both single-core and multi-core scores. Single-core results are one useful indicator of short, CPU-heavy work; multi-core results reflect workloads that can use several CPU cores. Neither test alone predicts performance in every app or under prolonged load.
The Galaxy Z Flip7’s compact foldable design is relevant context for its device-level performance. Android Central’s reviewer noted that the form factor constrains thermal management and described everyday performance as adequate during the review period. That is an observation about the reviewed phone, not a universal guarantee about all Exynos 2500 workloads or devices.

What this comparison cannot settle
- Sustained performance: Different cooling systems, phone designs, software, and run conditions affect how devices behave under long workloads. These scores are not a controlled sustained-load test.
- Battery efficiency: The cited evidence does not provide a controlled battery comparison between the two chips.
- Overall graphics ranking: The reported 3DMark results use different tests and units; matching workloads would be needed for a meaningful direct comparison.
- Performance in every phone: The cited Exynos results are from Galaxy Z Flip7 and the A19 results from iPhone 17. They describe those tested implementations, not every possible device configuration.
How to use the comparison when choosing a phone
If you are choosing between the Galaxy Z Flip7 and iPhone 17, treat the Geekbench results as one piece of device-specific evidence: the cited iPhone 17 review scores higher, while these results do not settle battery life, sustained performance, graphics performance across matching tests, or your experience in a particular app. Compare the phones on the features and software that matter to you rather than treating core counts or a benchmark score as a complete verdict.
