Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 comes out ahead in the reported overall AnTuTu score and Geekbench single-core result, while the Exynos 1680 leads two AnTuTu sub-scores and the chips are nearly tied in Geekbench multi-core. That makes this a mixed comparison, not a decisive win for either chip. The results below are figures reported by 91mobiles, not guarantees for every phone; its comparison page does not describe matched-device testing conditions.
How the specifications compare
| Specification | Exynos 1680 | Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 |
|---|---|---|
| Process and CPU | 4nm process; 8 cores; up to 2.9GHz. 91mobiles reports a tri-cluster layout using Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores. | 4nm process; 8 cores; up to 2.8GHz. 91mobiles reports a layout with a Cortex-X4 prime core alongside Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores. |
| Graphics | Xclipse 550, which Samsung says is based on AMD RDNA 3. | Adreno GPU; 91mobiles identifies it as Adreno 732. |
| Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi 6E platform support, according to Samsung. | Wi-Fi 7 through Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 platform support. |
| AI | Samsung lists an NPU rating of up to 19.6 TOPS, based on its internal test results. | Qualcomm lists Hexagon scalar, tensor, and vector components; the cited sources do not give a directly comparable workload result. |
| Camera platform capability | Samsung lists support for sensors up to 200MP. | Maximum sensor resolution not stated in the cited Qualcomm product-page material. |
The CPU labels and peak clocks alone do not determine which chip will feel faster. Core design, phone-level tuning, cooling, software, and the task being run all matter. Likewise, 4nm is a broad process label, not enough information to establish which phone will be more power-efficient.

These are platform capabilities, not a promise that every handset will implement each feature. For example, a chip’s Wi-Fi support does not guarantee a particular router, antenna, or real-world connection speed in a finished phone. Samsung also qualifies its performance claims as dependent on operating conditions and configuration.
What the published benchmark scores show
91mobiles reports the following AnTuTu and Geekbench results for the two processors. The figures are attributed to that comparison page, accessed in 2026; its page does not state a controlled, matched-device protocol.

| Geekbench multi-core | 4,540 | 4,544 | The reported results are nearly tied. |
Read these as results from one comparison source, not as fixed performance differences between all Exynos 1680 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phones. The scores do not establish how the chips compare in every handset, app, or temperature condition.
Which processor is faster?
For the specific figures reported by 91mobiles, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 has the higher AnTuTu total and Geekbench single-core score, while multi-core Geekbench is almost even. The Exynos 1680 has higher AnTuTu CPU and UX component scores; Snapdragon leads the GPU and memory components.
There is no single winner across these tests. If choosing between actual phones, use the benchmark pattern as context rather than a substitute for checking the models themselves. Cooling, memory configuration, firmware, display resolution, and background software can all affect a handset’s results and everyday behavior.

The available comparison favors Snapdragon in the AnTuTu GPU sub-score, and Qualcomm’s platform uses Adreno graphics. Samsung’s Exynos 1680 uses Xclipse 550 graphics based on AMD RDNA 3. Those facts describe different GPU designs, but they do not establish sustained game frame rates, graphics settings, heat, or performance after a long session.
The cited comparison material provides no matched-device sustained-load or thermal test. Samsung’s stated 16% GPU performance uplift versus the Exynos 1580 is an internal-test, predecessor comparison—not a result against Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. For gaming, look for testing of the exact phone models and game versions you are considering, ideally with session length, settings, and temperatures disclosed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.AI, camera, and connectivity differences
AI capability
Samsung states that the Exynos 1680 NPU supports up to 19.6 TOPS, based on Samsung internal test results. Qualcomm lists Hexagon scalar, tensor, and vector components for Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Because the cited sources provide no common AI workload or directly comparable benchmark, the TOPS figure should not be treated as proof that one chip performs AI tasks faster.
Camera support
Samsung lists support for camera sensors up to 200MP on Exynos 1680. This is a platform maximum, not a guarantee that an Exynos phone will ship with a sensor of that resolution or use every supported camera feature. The cited Qualcomm product-page information does not state a directly comparable maximum sensor resolution.
Wireless connectivity
Samsung lists Wi-Fi 6E for Exynos 1680; Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 7 through FastConnect 7800 for Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Qualcomm advertises Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 5.8 Gbps with High Band Simultaneous Multi-Link, but that is a vendor platform claim, not a measurement of a particular phone’s connection. Actual capabilities depend on the handset and network equipment.
Battery life and sustained performance: what is not established
The sources do not provide a head-to-head battery test, power-draw measurements, or matched-device sustained-performance and thermal results. It would therefore be unjustified to call either chip the battery-life or long-session gaming winner on this evidence alone. A phone’s battery capacity, display, cooling system, software, and network conditions also influence these outcomes.
Phones associated with each processor
91mobiles’ comparison database lists the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G with Exynos 1680. It lists OnePlus Nord 4, realme GT 6T, realme GT Neo 6 SE, OnePlus Ace 3V, and Sharp Aquos R10 with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. These are examples from that database, not a complete or region-universal compatibility or availability list.
Before choosing a phone, confirm the processor in the exact regional model and compare price, memory and storage configuration, software-support commitments, display, battery, and current availability. A processor comparison alone cannot determine which handset is the better purchase.
