For a TV connection, choose the Ethernet connector that matches the cable end: use a keystone jack to terminate bulk cable run through a wall, or a female-to-female RJ45 keystone coupler when the cable already has an RJ45 plug. If the TV location also needs coax, choose a wall plate that provides both connections. A connector can make a suitable wired connection possible, but the cited product information does not show that any connector alone improves streaming speed, buffering, or picture quality.
Which Ethernet connector fits your TV installation?
Start with the cable termination, not a promise of faster streaming. A keystone jack and a keystone coupler may fit a wall plate, but they do different jobs.

Keystone jack or coupler: what is the difference?
Use a jack for bulk in-wall cable
A keystone jack is the termination point for cable that has been run through the wall without an RJ45 plug attached. It fits into a compatible wall plate, giving the installation a finished Ethernet port. Check that the jack category and wiring method match the cable and installation.

A keystone coupler has female RJ45 ports and joins cables that already have plugs. It is appropriate when a pre-terminated cable must pass through a wall plate or connect to another pre-terminated cable. It is not a substitute for terminating bare bulk cable.

Two documented examples are the Eaton Tripp Lite N235-001-WH, a Cat6 straight-through modular snap-in coupler for a standard data wall plate, and the Legrand On-Q WP3452WHV1, a Cat6 keystone coupler insert identified for residential use. Eaton states that its model is compatible with Cat6 cable and backward compatible with Cat5/5e LANs. Legrand describes its insert as tool-free and says it meets EIA/TIA 568A Category 6 specifications. Those are manufacturers’ product claims, not a comparative test of streaming performance.
Should a TV wall plate include coax?
Choose an Ethernet-and-coax plate if the same location needs both a wired network connection and coax for cable TV, an antenna, or satellite. R.J. Enterprises documents bundles with an RJ45 Ethernet option and an F-type coax connection. Because bundle configurations differ, verify whether the selected model contains a jack or a coupler and whether it matches the cable ends you have.

Cat6 or Cat6A for a TV connection?
Both Cat6 and Cat6A appear in R.J. Enterprises’ wall-plate choices. The vendor presents Cat6 as suitable for typical residential streaming locations and Cat6A as an option for future-oriented or higher-performance installations. This is vendor guidance, not evidence from an independent streaming comparison. Select a plate, jack, or coupler that matches the cable category and the needs of the full installation.

R.J. Enterprises also describes unshielded cable as suitable for typical residential or office installations and shielding as relevant in some electrically noisy or industrial environments. Treat that as the vendor’s recommendation; the cited product material does not establish that shielding improves streaming in an ordinary home.

Will an Ethernet connector make streaming better?
The cited product pages describe connectors, compatibility, and installation choices. They do not provide controlled tests showing that one passive connector increases internet speed, reduces buffering, or improves picture quality. A wired connection may be an option if the TV or streaming device has an Ethernet port and the home network provides a compatible connection. Whether it performs better in a particular home depends on the network and connected equipment; the product information does not quantify that difference.

Check these details before choosing
- Cable end: Bulk in-wall cable needs a terminating jack; an RJ45-plugged cable can use a female-to-female coupler.
