The ESR HaloLock 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost is a capable way to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods together, but its cooling fan can be distracting in a quiet room. That is the central trade-off in iMore reviewer Joe Wituschek’s two-week assessment of the 15W generation: useful MagSafe-style convenience, with fan noise buyers should consider before choosing it.
What the 15W HaloLock charger does
ESR describes this stand-style station as a three-device charger: it can charge a compatible iPhone on its magnetic phone pad, an Apple Watch on its watch charger, and AirPods on the earbuds charging area. ESR lists 15W output and says its CryoBoost technology cools the phone while charging. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent speed or temperature test results. Confirm the exact product generation before buying. ESR’s current catalog also presents newer 25W CryoBoost options; their output, design, compatibility, and fan behavior should not be assumed to match the 15W charger discussed in iMore’s review.

What iMore’s review found
Joe Wituschek’s iMore review, published and last updated September 27, 2022, reports two weeks of use. His conclusion was: “ESR’s HaloLock 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost is a great, capable 3-in-1 charger as long as you can get past the fan noise.” That is one reviewer’s subjective experience, not a measured noise level or a claim that every unit sounds the same. #1 Best Overall
- Fast Charging: 15W MagSafe iPhone charging gives you safer, more reliable charging at faster speeds
- MagSafe Charger 3-in-1: power all 3 essential Apple devices simultaneously, declutter your desk or nightstand by simplifying your daily charging routine at home, the office, or while traveling
- Made for Apple Watch: Watch charger is officially certified, ensuring safe and reliable fast charging even after multiple watchOS upgrades
- Strong Magnetic Lock: 1,000 g of magnetic holding force keeps your phone securely in place during charging, with built-in magnets in the Watch charger and AirPods charging pad, ensuring instant and secure alignment

The fan is the meaningful drawback if you intend to charge beside your bed or in another quiet space. If you are sensitive to a fan running while the phone charges, this review does not establish that the noise will be acceptable to you; consider a charger without an active cooling fan instead.
Check compatibility and generation before ordering
For the 15W listing, ESR names iPhone 12 series or later, AirPods 3, AirPods 2, AirPods Pro, and all Apple Watch series as compatible. ESR also lists official MagSafe cases, ESR magnetic cases, and ESR Universal Rings. Check ESR’s product page for the exact 15W model and your particular device or case before purchase: a compatibility statement for this listing is not evidence that every CryoBoost generation supports the same combinations.
