Escape from Tarkov update 1.2.0.0 added an option to buy in-game roubles through the Expansions Hub in PvE Zone. The patch notes do not say this option is available in PvP, and they do not publish its price or purchase terms.
What changed in Escape from Tarkov?
The 6 October 2026 patch notes for update 1.2.0.0 say: “Added the ability to purchase in-game roubles in PvE Zone.” The option is in the Expansions Hub. The notes establish the feature for PvE Zone only; they do not announce rouble purchases for PvP. Read the update notes reproduced by SteamDB.
How much do the roubles cost?
Insider Gaming reported an offer of roughly 250 million roubles for around US$50 in its 6 October 2026 coverage. That is a secondary report and an approximate figure, not a price listed in the patch notes. See Insider Gaming’s report.
The sources do not establish the exact bundles, regional prices, payment methods, purchase limits, or account and edition requirements. Check the Expansions Hub purchase screen in your game for the terms shown to your account and region.
#1 Best Overall
- Custom made based on beanie from Escape from Tarkov
- A great gift for the holidays or to add to your Tarkov collection
- Perfect for raiding!
Is this the same as buying TarCoins?
No. The newly announced option concerns in-game roubles. TarCoins are a separate currency used in the Expansions Hub; the Steam Community announcement index says they can be purchased through the Hub, the official website, or Steam. The Steam storefront lists in-app purchases and digital content including game editions, PvE Zone, and TarCoin.
What else came with update 1.2.0.0?
The patch announcement also covers PvE Prestige, a separate feature that lets players reset PvE progression while retaining some specified progression and unlocking rewards. It is distinct from the new rouble purchase option.
