The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C5390DW is a print-only business inkjet aimed at small workgroups. Epson rates it at 25 pages per minute in both monochrome and color, with automatic duplex printing rated at 16 A4 pages per minute. Its high-yield ink packs may suit offices that print regularly, but it cannot scan or copy—and the published speeds and yields are manufacturer figures, not independent test results.
Is the Epson WF-C5390DW a good printer for a small office?
It can be a good fit for a small office that needs color and black-and-white printing, values automatic two-sided output, and already has scanning and copying covered. Epson describes it as a small-workgroup business printer and lists support for recycled paper, glossy media, envelopes, and labels. Those capabilities make it more versatile than a basic document-only device, although buyers should confirm that their exact media types and weights are supported for their intended use.
The main trade-off is straightforward: this is a dedicated printer, not an all-in-one. Epson Europe lists its function as “Print.” If the office needs one machine to scan, copy, or handle other multifunction tasks, this model does not meet that requirement.

How fast does it print?
Epson UK lists ISO/IEC 24734 print speeds of 25 pages per minute for both monochrome and color, and duplex speeds of 16 A4 pages per minute for both. These are manufacturer-rated figures under the stated test method; they are not a guarantee of the pace an office will see with its own documents, settings, network, or workflow.

Epson Europe also gives first-page-out times from ready mode of 4.8 seconds for monochrome and 5.3 seconds for color. That describes the manufacturer’s ready-mode figure, not the time from every possible starting state.
The related North American WF-C5390 listing gives a recommended monthly page volume of 5,000 pages. That is Epson America’s rating for the US WF-C5390, not a confirmed equivalent monthly recommendation for every regional WF-C5390DW variant.

Which ink does the WF-C5390DW use?
The printer uses four-color DURABrite Ultra pigment ink supplied in separate high-yield ink packs. Epson Europe lists the WF-C53xx/WF-C58xx series and European C13T11-series part numbers. North American materials identify T10S, T10W, and T10Y designations for the related WF-C5390 family. The regional naming differs, so check the printer’s market and exact model before ordering; do not assume a part number listed for one region fits another.

How many pages do the ink packs print?
Epson Europe lists approximate yields of 3,000 pages for L packs, 5,000 pages for XL packs, and 10,000 pages for the XXL black pack. The manufacturer says actual yield varies with use and printed images. These figures are not a promise that every pack will produce that many pages in a particular office.
Epson Europe also promotes the printer as capable of printing up to 10,000 monochrome pages and 5,000 color pages without changing supplies. Treat this as Epson’s stated supply-life claim, not an independently measured result or a prediction of every user’s output. Color coverage, document mix, and usage affect how long supplies last.

What should buyers know about operating costs and upkeep?
High-yield packs can reduce the frequency of supply changes for offices with steady print demand, but the evidence available here does not establish a real-world cost per page. To estimate your own cost, compare the current local price of a compatible genuine pack with a realistic yield for your documents, then account for color coverage and any maintenance supplies. Epson’s claims about lower power use, productivity, and fewer supply interventions are manufacturer positioning rather than independently quantified comparisons.

For the North American WF-C5390 family, Epson’s specification sheet lists a maintenance box (C12C938211), optional input tray (C12C937901), paper-feed rollers, and cabinets. These are US-family references, not confirmation that each item fits the European DW model, and the maintenance box should not be assumed to be included in the box. Verify the exact regional printer and accessory compatibility with Epson or the seller before purchasing.

Regional model names and support
Epson Europe identifies the WF-C5390DW with product code C11CK25401. Epson America lists the related WF-C5390 with product code C11CK25201. The different regional names and product codes matter when checking supplies, accessories, warranty terms, and service; do not treat the US model number or accessory list as interchangeable with the European DW version.
For the UK WF-C5390DW, Epson’s support page provides downloads, FAQs, manuals, warranty options, and contact routes. It lists Software Updater version 3.01 dated 7 July 2026. Availability and support options may vary by country.
Verdict
The WF-C5390DW is worth considering when a small workgroup wants a fast-rated color printer with automatic duplexing and high-yield supplies, and does not need scanning or copying from the same device. Its headline speed and ink yields are Epson specifications rather than independent performance or cost tests. Before buying, confirm the regional model, compatible ink-pack codes, and any required accessories against the exact printer sold in your market.
