There is no Epson keyboard-driver fix established by the Epson Windows 11 materials available here: they cover printers, all-in-ones, and scanners. If you mean an Epson printer, use the model-specific steps below. If you mean a keyboard, identify its exact make and model first; printer instructions will not fix a keyboard.
First, confirm which device needs a driver
Epson’s Windows 11 driver guidance is for Epson imaging products, not keyboards. Epson says a Windows 11 driver, when available for a product, is listed on that product’s support page. Check Epson’s Windows 11 driver availability guidance and search by the exact model printed on the device.
If the device is a keyboard, find its manufacturer and model number—usually printed on the underside or packaging—and use that manufacturer’s support page. The Epson printer steps below do not establish keyboard-driver compatibility or repair.

If you mean an Epson printer, choose the right driver path
There are two distinct possibilities: an Epson driver and software package for the exact model, or Windows’ generic built-in printer driver, called Windows Ready Print by Epson Europe. The built-in option can provide basic printing, but it is not equivalent to Epson’s full driver.

| Path | What it can provide | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Epson model-specific driver and software | When available for the model, Epson utilities and options such as paper type, print quality, borderless printing, color management, nozzle checks, head cleaning, and ink-level monitoring. | Find the exact product on Epson Support and select Windows 11 in the operating-system selector. |
| Windows Ready Print built-in driver | Basic printing; Epson Europe says some Epson-specific options and utilities are not included. | Connect the printer by USB or to the same network as the PC, then let Windows install it or add it through Settings. |
Epson Europe says Windows Ready Print is enabled by default on supported systems and prioritizes Microsoft’s IPP Class Printer Driver over manufacturer drivers. Its FAQ characterizes Microsoft’s roadmap as deprioritizing third-party printer drivers from July 2026 onward; this is Epson Europe’s description, not confirmation of a universal change on every Windows 11 PC. Read Epson Europe’s Windows Ready Print FAQ.
Find and install the driver for your exact Epson model
- Identify the model. Read the full model name or number from the printer or all-in-one, rather than choosing a nearby product with a similar name.
- Open Epson Support and select Windows 11. Download only the driver or software listed for that product and operating system. Epson’s guidance is model-specific; a general Windows 11 driver listing is not proof that a particular product is supported.
- Install the downloaded package. Follow its setup instructions and connect the printer when prompted. If the download page has no dedicated Windows 11 driver, use the built-in-driver path below instead of installing software for another model.
Epson’s availability FAQ states: “If Epson has a Windows 11 driver for your product, it will be available on your product’s support page.” Microsoft likewise advises finding the manufacturer’s support page by device model and selecting the Windows version. See Microsoft’s printer installation guidance.
Use Windows Ready Print when no dedicated driver is listed
If Epson’s page has no dedicated Windows 11 driver for the model, Windows may install its built-in driver when the printer is connected. Epson describes this option as Windows Ready Print. It can be suitable when basic printing is enough, but do not assume it includes Epson utilities or scanner functions. Epson Europe explains the built-in driver’s scope and limitations.

- Connect the printer to the PC with USB, or connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. For network setup, Epson specifies that the computer and printer must share a network.
- Make sure the PC has an internet connection so Windows can obtain the built-in driver.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners and check whether the printer appears.
If Windows does not add it automatically, use the manual route below. A built-in driver is a possible basic-printing solution, not a guarantee that all Epson features or functions for a multifunction device will work.
If Windows did not add the printer automatically
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select Add device beside the printer and follow the prompts.
- For a Wi-Fi or Ethernet printer, verify that the PC and printer are on the same network, then try adding it again.
These are Epson’s manual installation steps for Windows 11. See Epson’s instructions for a printer driver that did not automatically install.
Resolve Epson’s documented USB setup issue on Windows 11 24H2 or later
Epson Europe documents a specific case: on Windows 11 version 24H2 or later, USB setup can fail or Windows can install an AirPrint or Mopria driver instead of the Epson driver. The workaround below is Epson Europe’s advice for that stated scenario; it should not be treated as a universal fix for every Epson device, Windows build, or connection type. Consult Epson Europe’s full instructions.

- Install the Epson driver for the exact model from its Epson support page.
If the setting or instructions do not match your Windows version, return to the model’s support page and use guidance for that specific product and configuration.

On some Windows PCs with ARM-based processors, a manufacturer’s installer may not work as expected. Microsoft advises trying Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device, unless the manufacturer provides specific ARM instructions. Check both Epson’s model page and Microsoft’s guidance before assuming a driver intended for another PC architecture will install. Microsoft’s printer guidance covers the general approach.
What to gather if the problem remains
- The exact device model and whether it is a keyboard, printer, all-in-one, or scanner.
- For a printer, whether it connects by USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
- The Windows version and whether the PC uses an ARM-based processor.
- The specific symptom: no driver listed, installation failure, printer absent from Settings, or limited print options.
Those details determine whether the next step is an Epson-specific driver, Windows Ready Print, a connection check, or keyboard support from a different manufacturer. Epson Japan also publishes a Windows 11 compatibility table for the scanners it lists, dated June 3, 2026; it is not a substitute for checking the exact product. See Epson Japan’s operating-system compatibility information.
