Pittsburgh tight end Elijah Lagg was listed as doubtful ahead of Pitt’s game against Virginia Tech on Friday, October 2, 2026, meaning he was expected to be unlikely to play. The pregame report did not identify his injury, and the available sources do not establish whether he ultimately appeared.
Was Elijah Lagg playing against Virginia Tech?
Before Friday’s game, Lagg was listed as doubtful on Pitt’s injury report, according to Pittsburgh Sports Now’s report carried by On3. A Covers college football injury listing, with Lagg’s entry dated October 1, also described him as unlikely to suit up. These were pregame indications, not confirmation that he was inactive or did not play.
Why was Lagg listed as doubtful?
The report did not identify a specific injury. Covers labels the injury undisclosed; no diagnosis, affected body part, severity, or recovery timeline is established by the available reporting. It would be speculation to attribute his status to a particular condition.
Who else was on Pitt’s injury report?
The same pregame report listed defensive end Zach Crothers as doubtful, receiver Tony Kinsler as probable after an upgrade, and safety Cruce Brookins as questionable. Those designations describe their reported status before the game, not their eventual participation.
