Norway’s Elias Dybing won the men’s junior road race at the 2026 UEC Road European Championships in Ljubljana on 3 October. He finished in 2:42:40, 10 seconds ahead of Spain’s Aitor Martinez Groset; the Netherlands’ Jop van den Biggelaar took third.

The UEC’s official results identify the race winner and podium. They do not list a time gap for van den Biggelaar.
Race distance and field figures
The final UEC result sheet records a 110.0 km race with 2,596 m of climbing, completed over five laps of 22 km. The UEC’s pre-race announcement described a planned 110.5 km course; the final result sheet’s 110.0 km is the distance for the completed race. The results list a field average speed of 40.572 km/h, not a separate average for Dybing.

What is known about Dybing’s win
The published official results establish Dybing’s victory, finishing time and 10-second margin over Martinez Groset. The UEC material available for the race does not provide a named post-race statement from Dybing or describe the move that decided the finish. The UEC’s 2 October article previewed the junior race and covered opening-day Under-23 events; it is not a race account of Dybing’s victory.
