ELEHEAR lists features such as Auracast reception, app-based sound adjustment and up to 20 hours of battery life, but the performance figures on its product page come from the manufacturer’s own controlled testing—not an independent evaluation of this model. It may be worth considering if you fit the OTC category and are comfortable judging the device during its trial period; the current price and purchase terms should be checked directly before ordering.
What the Beyond 2 Pro is—and who it is for
ELEHEAR describes the Beyond 2 Pro as an OTC receiver-in-canal hearing aid for adults 18 and older with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. The FDA’s OTC category is likewise intended for adults with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. OTC devices can be purchased without a prescription or required professional fitting, but that does not establish that a particular model will suit an individual’s hearing needs. The FDA advises seeking medical attention for ear pain or discomfort, blood, pus or fluid from the ear, vertigo, sudden or fluctuating hearing changes, excessive wax or a suspected foreign object, ear injury or deformity, or noticeably worse hearing or tinnitus in one ear. Sound performance: what the published figures do and do not show
ELEHEAR reports that, compared with the previous generation, the Beyond 2 Pro delivered 39% improved speech clarity in extremely noisy conditions, 32% faster feedback-suppression response and a 17% relative improvement in music performance. The company says these results came from its own controlled testing and that actual results vary. They are not independent measurements or a head-to-head comparison with other OTC hearing aids. Battery life and tinnitus-related audio
ELEHEAR states that the aids last up to 20 hours on a single charge and recommends charging them in the case nightly. “Up to” is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not a guaranteed daily runtime; use and settings may affect it.
