The current official product listing calls the kit the ELEGOO UNO R3 Super Starter Kit. Its manual documents a small 3–6V DC motor and fan blade for a motor lesson, but the motor must not be connected directly to a UNO digital output: the manual warns that it may draw more power than the pin can handle. The lesson uses a separate power arrangement and an L293D motor-driver IC.

Which ELEGOO kit does the motor belong to?

“Super StarterKit from Elegoo” is not the current listing name. ELEGOO’s US product page calls it the ELEGOO UNO R3 Super Starter Kit. The page describes a UNO board, power supply module, 9V battery with DC connector, and a free PDF tutorial with more than 22 lessons.

The motor details come from ELEGOO’s UNO Project Super Starter Kit tutorial and its linked manual, which uses the name “UNO Project Super Starter Kit.” These are different evidence layers: a manual’s parts list does not establish that every currently sold regional or revised box has identical contents. Check the exact listing and kit revision before assuming the motor is included.

What is the 3–6V DC motor for?

The manual lists a “Fan blade and 3-6v motor” for a DC motor lesson. This is a small brushed DC motor intended for a beginner electronics project, where a controller circuit switches the motor rather than powering it from a UNO output pin. The stated 3–6V is the motor component specification in that manual; it is not a voltage rating for every component in the kit.

How should the motor be powered?

Use the lesson’s motor-driver arrangement, not a direct connection from the motor to a UNO digital output. ELEGOO’s manual states: “The small DC motor is likely to use more power than an UNO R3 board digital output can handle directly.” Connecting a motor directly to an output could damage the board.

For the documented lesson, the manual’s component list includes an ELEGOO UNO R3, 830 tie-point breadboard, L293D IC, fan blade and 3–6V motor, jumper wires, power supply module, and 9V 1A adapter. The L293D is the motor-driver component in this setup; the separate supply arrangement provides motor power while the UNO controls the circuit.

  • MORE PROJECT VARIETY IN ONE ORGANIZED KIT — Includes the UNO R3 controller, LCD1602 with pre-soldered header, breadboard power module, ultrasonic and DHT11 sensors, joystick, IR receiver and remote, SG90 servo, stepper motor, relay, DC motor, fan blade, displays, LEDs, buttons, resistors and jumper wires
  • START WITHOUT SOLDERING — Plug-in modules, a solderless breadboard and the pre-soldered LCD help beginners focus on wiring, code and testing; the illustrated component list makes it easier to find each part and move from one lesson to the next
  • LEARN THE LOGIC, THEN CREATE YOUR OWN — Use Arduino IDE and the included example code to understand digital input and output, analog sensing, timing, motor control and display functions, then change thresholds, speeds and sequences for alarms, environmental monitors, reaction games and motion projects
  • CLEAR SETUP SUPPORT FOR FIRST-TIME BUILDERS — Download the latest tutorial and code, select the UNO board and correct computer port, check component polarity and breadboard rows, and keep power-module input at 9V or below; younger learners should work with an experienced adult

In the manual’s power-supply-module section, the module accepts 6.5–9V DC input, provides 3.3V/5V output, and has a maximum output current of 700 mA. Treat those values as specifications for the module described in that manual and lesson context, not as ratings for a different module or kit revision. Follow the wiring diagram and safety notes in the manual for the exact circuit; do not infer pin connections from the component list alone.

Will a replacement motor from another kit fit?

The available documentation does not identify an exact standalone replacement motor model, connector, shaft size, or mounting specification. Consequently, it does not establish that a motor sold for another kit is a drop-in replacement. Match a replacement to the original motor’s voltage range and physical and electrical connections, and confirm the required drive circuit.

Arduino Support’s replacement guidance applies to specified Arduino-branded kits, not this ELEGOO motor; its listed Arduino kit replacement pack does not include motors or servos. Arduino’s separate replacement motors for the Engineering Kit Rev2 are not evidence of compatibility with ELEGOO hardware. See Arduino’s replacement-component guidance before buying parts specifically for an Arduino kit, but do not treat it as a compatibility list for the ELEGOO set.
