The Electrolux SilentPerformer Bagged Green ESP7GREENT is a bagged canister vacuum with a 3.5 L dustbag, a manufacturer-stated 12 m cleaning reach, 700 W maximum power and a Dust Magnet Silent floor head that Electrolux positions as its quiet option. CHOICE, the Australian consumer testing organisation, marks this exact model as discontinued, and its full expert ratings are members-only. The public record is therefore mostly manufacturer specifications plus a short set of CHOICE measurements. This is not a hands-on test. It explains what is claimed, what has been measured, and what an owner needs to check before buying or maintaining one.
Model name: ESP7GREENT or ESP7GREEN?
Electrolux Australia’s product page is titled ESP7GREEN, while the official fact sheet and CHOICE’s listing use ESP7GREENT. The headline figures on the product page (700 W, 12 m reach, 4.5 kg cleaner-only weight) match the fact sheet, but the suffix matters when you look up parts. Read the model number and product number (PNC) from the rating plate on the cleaner body before ordering anything, and use that code rather than the marketing name.
What the machine is
The ESP7GREENT is a bagged canister vacuum. Its fact sheet lists:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Power supply of 220–240 V, with a maximum of 700 W and a nominal rating of 550 W.
- A 3.5 L dustbag.
- An automatic cord winder, a mechanical full-bag indicator and a thermal cut-out.
- Dimensions of 293 × 441 × 238 mm.
- A Dust Magnet Silent main nozzle, a telescopic tube, a classic bent end, and crevice and upholstery tools.
The fact sheet also states that the machine has no motorised power nozzle and no turbo nozzle. The product page adds variable power control, a washable high-efficiency hygiene filter, and a two-year warranty. Electrolux says the filter captures up to 99.5% of dust; that is a manufacturer claim and no independent test of it appears in the public record.

Advertised figures compared with CHOICE measurements
The two sources do not agree on several numbers. The table below keeps each figure with its source and the conditions attached to it.
| Item | Electrolux (fact sheet or product page) | CHOICE public listing |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum power | 700 W | 700 W stated; 663 W measured by CHOICE |
| Nominal power | 550 W (fact sheet) | Not stated in the public listing |
| Cleaning reach | 12 m, method not stated | 8.9 m measured from the power point |
| Weight | 4.5 kg, cleaner only | 6.02 kg |
| Dust capacity | 3.5 L bag size (a container volume, not a test result) | 2.7 L measured dust volume |
| Warranty | Two years (product page) | Two years |
| Price | Not stated on the sources reviewed | $299, historical; the listing marks the model discontinued |
| Country of origin | Not stated on the sources reviewed | China |
| Noise | Qualitative claim only (see below) | No published decibel result; detailed noise results are members-only |
Two differences deserve attention. The measured reach of 8.9 m is about 26% below the 12 m advertised figure. The measured weight of 6.02 kg is about 1.5 kg above the 4.5 kg cleaner-only figure. Neither source explains the gap in detail. The reach figure may reflect a different measurement method, and the weight figure may reflect a different weighing condition or accessory set. Without the method, neither number should be treated as a verdict on the other. The bag size and measured dust volume are also different measurements and should not be compared directly.

Quiet claims
Electrolux says that “a noise minimising motor together with the Dust Magnet Silent nozzle, ensures a quieter clean.” That is a comparative claim with no decibel figure, no stated reference machine and no test conditions. No public exact-model noise measurement was found for this machine, so the name “SilentPerformer” should be read as marketing language. If noise matters to you, the only reliable check is listening to the machine in a shop or asking a source that has tested it under known conditions.
Floor heads and pet hair
The lack of a motorised or turbo nozzle is the most practical limit for pet-hair and deep-carpet cleaning. The Dust Magnet Silent nozzle is a passive floor head, so its performance on embedded hair depends on suction reaching it through the tube and hose. No independent evidence on pet-hair pickup for this model is available in the public record. If a motorised head is important to you, this model does not include one, and a separate accessory would need to be checked for fit.

Bags and filters to keep it running
The fact sheet names three consumables. Treat this as a starting list for ordering, not a guarantee of fit until you have checked the code on your machine.
- Dustbags: E201S, also described as s-bag vacuum bags, for the 3.5 L bag.
- Motor filter: GSK1.
- Exhaust filter: EFH12W.
Electrolux’s parts site lists a filter motor part as compatible with ESP7GREEN and shows other model-compatible components. Use the model or PNC selector there to confirm each part against your cleaner before buying.

Availability and buying a discontinued model
CHOICE’s listing for this exact model is marked discontinued. Electrolux’s product page for ESP7GREEN is still live, but a live product page does not establish that new stock is available, and no current retail price was verified. A secondhand or ex-display unit may still be offered, but the sources reviewed do not say whether the two-year warranty transfers to a secondhand owner or applies to a unit bought from a third party. Ask the seller for the model and PNC, confirm the warranty terms in writing, and check that the bag and filter parts still appear for that code before buying.
What is and is not established
The following are established by manufacturer material or by CHOICE’s public listing: the stated power ratings, bag size, reach and weight figures, consumables, warranty length, and the discontinued status. The following are not established by any public source reviewed: independent noise levels, independent cleaning-performance scores, reliability or owner-satisfaction results, the independent accuracy of the 99.5% filter claim, and the lifecycle benefits of the 60% recycled-plastic construction. Electrolux’s sentence on recycled content reads “Made from 60% recycled plastic. Less oil, water, energy consumed in plastic production.” Those are Electrolux’s own claims and have not been independently assessed. The product page currently shows a single customer review, which is too few to indicate typical owner experience.

The Bottom Line
The ESP7GREENT is a conventional bagged canister with a 3.5 L bag, 700 W maximum power and a passive Dust Magnet Silent head. Its advertised 12 m reach and 4.5 kg weight are not matched by CHOICE’s measurements of 8.9 m and 6.02 kg, and its quiet and cleaning claims have no independent figures behind them in the public record. Because CHOICE lists the model as discontinued, buy only after confirming stock, the warranty terms for your situation, and that the E201S, GSK1 and EFH12W parts fit your model and PNC. Without a motorised head, it is a weak choice for heavy pet hair.
