The Electrolux EWW1043R7WCS is a front-load washer-dryer with a 10kg washing capacity and a smaller 6kg drying capacity. That gap is the key buying consideration: a load you can wash may be too large to dry in one go. It is worth considering if you want one appliance and can plan around that limit, but the published specifications alone cannot establish how well it performs against competing machines.
What the EWW1043R7WCS is—and who it may suit
Electrolux Australia lists the EWW1043R7WCS as an UltimateCare 700 washer-dryer. It has a 1400rpm maximum spin speed and a stainless-steel drum, alongside the 10kg wash and 6kg dry capacities. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance results. Electrolux Australia’s product page shows a 4.7-star customer rating from seven reviews, a small sample that should not be treated as a controlled test.
The format is most relevant if a single washer-dryer suits your available space and laundry routine. If you regularly want to dry a full wash load immediately, the 6kg drying limit means you may need to remove part of the load or run separate drying cycles. A separate washer and dryer can offer a different workflow, but whether that trade-off is worthwhile depends on your space and throughput needs.

How much can it wash and dry?
The rated capacities are 10kg for washing and 6kg for drying. Do not assume that a 10kg wash load can be dried as one load: the drying capacity is four kilograms lower. In practice, check the selected programme’s instructions and the garment-care labels, and be prepared to split a washed load before drying.

This capacity distinction matters especially if you often wash bulky items or want a wash-and-dry cycle without intervention. The stated capacity does not by itself tell you how long a particular cycle will take or how well it will dry a specific load; those results depend on the programme and laundry conditions.
How deep is the EWW1043R7WCS, and will it fit?
Electrolux’s dimension guide lists the cabinet at 600mm wide × 659mm deep × 850mm high. The guide, labelled June 2025, describes dimensions as guidance and directs users to the supplied manual for installation instructions. Check the Electrolux dimension guide and manual before deciding that it fits a particular laundry.
Cabinet depth is not the whole installation footprint. Hoses, connections, the door’s swing, and the access needed for servicing can affect placement. Appliances Online suggests allowing another 150mm for hoses and connections; treat that as retailer guidance, not as Electrolux’s complete clearance specification. Its listing for this model also gives dimensions of 850 × 600 × 659mm.

What cycles and features does Electrolux list?
The Australian product listing names IntelliQuick, SensorWash, UltraMix, Sanitise, HygienicCare, DuvetCare 60, DelicatesPlus, and a Woolmark-approved wool cycle. The descriptions below explain what Electrolux says each feature does; they should not be read as independent hands-on test findings.
IntelliQuick and SensorWash
- IntelliQuick: Electrolux says the machine selects a quick programme based on the load and advertises washing 10kg in 45 minutes. That is a manufacturer claim, not a promise that every fabric, soil level, or option will finish in that time.
- SensorWash: Electrolux says sensors detect dirt and soil levels and adjust cycle duration. Its “up to 53 visible stains” claim is tied to a 5kg load with stains from food, household, and personal products, using Cotton 40°C with StainPro. Results can vary with load, stain conditions, detergent, and water hardness.
UltraMix
Electrolux describes UltraMix as dissolving and activating detergent and softener before they enter the drum. Its no-visible-residue statement comes from a manufacturer test on a 3kg mixed load using the recommended powder dosage; it is not a guarantee for every detergent, dosage, or load.
Sanitise and HygienicCare
These are separate options. Electrolux says Sanitise combines a wash with steam above 60°C and removes more than 99.99% of specified common bacteria and viruses. The manufacturer attributes that result to external Swissatest Testmaterialien AG testing in 2021 on Candida albicans, MS2 Bacteriophage, and Escherichia coli. The claim applies to the specified organisms and test conditions, not every pathogen or every cycle.

HygienicCare is described by Electrolux as a soft-vapour finish at 40°C for everyday wear and baby clothes. Do not treat that feature description as the same programme or the same testing claim as Sanitise.
DuvetCare 60 and the wool cycle
Electrolux advertises DuvetCare 60 as a 60-minute heated-vapour treatment and drying programme for duvets. Its product page says king-size duvets are suitable only for 12kg or 13kg machines, while smaller sizes are suitable across machines. This 10kg washer-dryer should therefore not be assumed to accommodate a king-size duvet.
Electrolux says the wool wash cycle is approved by The Woolmark Company for garments labelled “hand wash,” when used according to the machine maker’s instructions. Follow each garment’s care label, particularly before using a drying programme. The approval statement is presented on Electrolux’s product page.

How much water and energy does it use?
Electrolux publishes the following label and specification figures for the model. They are useful for comparing listed values, but they are not a forecast of a household’s actual bills: real consumption depends on use and the programmes selected.

These are the values shown on Electrolux Australia’s listing. CHOICE’s public model page also lists 44L as a dryer-water figure, in addition to the wash-water and energy-label values above. Because the public CHOICE page does not expose detailed test results, treat that as a listed figure rather than a basis for predicting your own use. What do independent reviews establish?
CHOICE has a page for this exact model, but its public page does not show the expert rating or detailed comparative results. In particular, the publicly visible information does not establish a score for wash performance, drying performance, cycle time, noise, reliability, or customer satisfaction. It would be misleading to supply a CHOICE rating or describe independent test results that are not publicly visible.

Electrolux’s specifications and feature descriptions help identify capacity, dimensions, cycles, and published label values. They do not establish how this model performs relative to another washer-dryer in independent testing. For a direct comparison, look for accessible results covering washing and drying performance, cycle duration, noise, reliability, and satisfaction, alongside capacity and installation needs.
Warranty and model-name check
Electrolux lists a two-year domestic warranty and a 10-year inverter-motor parts-and-labour warranty. Check the written warranty terms for coverage, conditions, and exclusions rather than assuming the motor warranty applies to the whole appliance.
Confirm the model number before ordering: EWW1043R7WCS is the washer-dryer reviewed here. Electrolux also sells similarly named standalone washers, including EWF1043R7WCS; that is a different product.

Consider it if you want a single washer-dryer, the 10kg wash and 6kg dry split suits your routine, and the installation footprint works after accounting for connections and access. Its listed cycles cover several specific needs, including wool washing, steam-related care, and a duvet programme, but the manufacturer claims should not be mistaken for independent comparative results. If your decision depends on proven drying performance, cycle times, noise, or reliability relative to alternatives, the public evidence cited here is not enough to name it a winner.
