Combination units carry separate ratings for the washing and drying functions, and the Australian Government’s energy-rating guidance says washer-dryer combinations display their washing and drying labels separately. The figures below belong to different functions, so they should not be added together into a single running cost.

The 220 kWh/year figure appears only on the New Zealand page and only for a warm wash. Do not treat it as the annual washing energy for the machine in either market. These are manufacturer figures; the listings do not state the test method or conditions behind them, so they are best used for comparing this model against other units tested under the same labelling scheme.

Dimensions and installation check
The listed footprint is 600 mm wide, but the depth and height are what decide whether the unit fits a laundry or alcove. Before buying, work through these steps:
- Measure the height of the space at its lowest point, including any cupboard door or benchtop overhang. The listed height is 850 mm.
- Measure the width of the opening, not only the wall-to-wall distance. The listed width is 600 mm.
- Measure the depth from the back wall to the front of the door, and add room for the door to open, the drain hose and the power cord. The listed depth is 659 mm, and that figure does not include the door swing or hose runs.
- Check the delivery path, including doorways, hallways, stairs and lift sizes. Weight is not stated in the listings reviewed for this article, so confirm it with Electrolux before planning the move.
- Confirm the water connection. CHOICE lists a cold-only tap connection; check this against the installation instructions in the manual before you commit to a location.
- Use the Electrolux figures, not CHOICE’s rounded 85 × 60 × 66 cm, when you compare against cabinet or alcove measurements.
What the 10 kg and 6 kg ratings mean in use
The wash and drying ratings are separate limits. A load that fills the 10 kg wash drum cannot be dried in the same pass, because the dryer is rated for 6 kg. Households that regularly wash large loads such as doonas, towels or work clothes will usually need to split the load into two dryer runs. Households with mostly everyday clothing, or those who air-dry some items, will find the 6 kg limit less restrictive. Where the 6 kg dryer figure is the constraint, the realistic plan is to wash at full capacity but dry in batches.

CHOICE’s model page is the main independent listing found for this exact model. It confirms the configuration, capacity, spin speed, water connection and rounded dimensions. Its expert rating and detailed measures, covering dirt removal, rinsing, gentleness on fabrics, efficiency, cycle time, noise and drying performance, are available only to members. Without access to those results, this review cannot say how well the model removes stains, how loud it is, how long it takes to finish a cycle or how well it dries.

Combination-unit trade-offs
Electrolux’s own guidance notes two trade-offs with combination machines. A full wash-and-dry cycle can take longer than running a standalone washer and a separate dryer one after the other, and combination units tend to use more water than standalone machines. Both points come from the manufacturer, and this review has not measured either for this model. If your laundry routine depends on finishing a full load within a set time, plan around that longer cycle before you buy.
