The Electrolux EHI745BA is a 70 cm, four-zone induction cooktop with flexible Maxisense cooking areas, slide-touch controls, PowerBoost and Stop & Go. Electrolux specifies a 710 × 520 × 55 mm appliance and a 680 × 490 mm cutout. CHOICE marks the model discontinued, and its public page does not show the cooking-performance scores needed to judge it against other cooktops. If you are considering remaining stock or a used unit, check the exact model and PNC, benchtop opening and installation requirements before committing.
What is the Electrolux EHI745BA?
Electrolux describes the EHI745BA as a 70 cm induction cooktop with four 210 mm zones, Maxisense placement flexibility and front slide-touch controls with 14 heat stages. It also lists PowerBoost, Stop & Go, automatic warm-up, keep-warm and a cooking timer. These are manufacturer-published specifications and functions, not independently verified performance results. Electrolux Australia’s EHI745BA specifications
The published electrical specification is a 7.4 kW connected load and a hardwired connection. That makes installation suitability a separate question from whether the cooktop physically fits: a product listing cannot establish whether a particular home’s wiring, circuit, clearances or ventilation are suitable.

CHOICE’s exact-model listing labels the EHI745BA discontinued. That is a useful warning for anyone shopping, but it does not establish whether a particular Australian retailer still has old stock or whether a used unit is available. The available public information does not establish current retail availability or a current selling price. CHOICE’s Electrolux EHI745BA listing

What are the EHI745BA’s dimensions and cutout?
Electrolux lists the cooktop’s outside dimensions as 710 mm wide, 520 mm deep and 55 mm high. The specified benchtop cutout is 680 mm wide by 490 mm deep. For a replacement, measure the existing aperture and compare it with the cutout specification; the larger outside dimensions describe the appliance, not the opening it requires. Those figures can help with an initial layout check, but they do not replace checking the manufacturer’s cutout or the individual installation. CHOICE’s Electrolux EHI745BA listing
What cooking features and power does it offer?
Electrolux lists four 210 mm cooking zones, each rated at 2300 W. Its specification specifically gives a 3200 W boost rating for the left-front zone and confirms a boost function; it does not establish that every zone has that same boosted rating. The stated connected load for the cooktop is 7.4 kW. Electrolux Australia’s EHI745BA specifications

Electrolux says Maxisense allows pan detection and more flexible pan placement than traditional fixed circular zones. The available information does not independently test how well cookware behaves on this particular model, so consider the feature a manufacturer-described design benefit rather than a measured review result.
Other manufacturer-listed functions include a timer programmable to 99 minutes with an acoustic signal, automatic warm-up, keep-warm and automatic switch-off. Safety and status features include pan sensors, residual-heat indicators, a fault indicator, safety cut-off, overheating protection, function lock and child safety lock. How strong is the independent review evidence?
CHOICE has an exact-model page and says the EHI745BA was tested in “2023 or earlier.” Its public listing gives basic specifications, but it does not expose the model’s high-heat, turn-down or boil-time scores; reliability and satisfaction information is members-only. There is therefore not enough public evidence on that page to make a performance-based verdict or claim the cooktop outperforms a competitor.
CHOICE’s page displays a price of $2,439, but does not establish when that price applied or whether the product was available at that amount. It should not be treated as a current Australian price.

Will it suit an existing installation?
Start with the 680 × 490 mm cutout specification, then have the electrical and installation requirements checked for the specific site. The 7.4 kW connected load and hardwired connection are material details for an installer, but they do not by themselves confirm that a home’s circuit or installation is suitable. Consult Electrolux documentation and a qualified installer rather than relying on dimensions or a retailer listing for site-specific assurance.
Where can you find EHI745BA spare parts?
Electrolux’s parts shop has a PNC listing for 94916325301 that identifies the model as EHI745BA. The manufacturer also lists “Hob Cooking Top Complete,” part number 8583056140368, as compatible with the model. Catalog contents, compatibility information, stock and prices can change; confirm the appliance’s exact product number (PNC) and the part listing before ordering. Electrolux’s model instruction page directs owners to select the product number to locate parts and accessories. Use the appliance’s own identification label to verify the PNC rather than assuming a model name alone is enough. Electrolux EHI745BA model instruction and parts page
What to compare before choosing a replacement
If you are comparing the EHI745BA with another cooktop, check physical fit first, especially the cutout rather than only the external width. Then compare cooking layout and zone flexibility, zone and boost ratings, controls and convenience functions, connected load and connection type, warranty and service access, independent test results, and confirmed current availability and price. The available information does not establish current competitor prices or rankings, so it cannot support a winner between models.
