The Electrolux EHI667BD is a 60 cm, four-zone induction cooktop best suited to kitchens that can accommodate its 560 × 490 mm cutout and 32 A hardwired electrical requirements. Its main point of difference is FlexiBridge across the left side, which can combine cooking segments for larger cookware; the two right-side zones remain separate. The key reservation is evidence: public independent cooking-performance results are not available, and CHOICE lists the model as discontinued, so check local stock and support before buying.
What the EHI667BD offers
Electrolux Australia describes the EHI667BD as a black ceramic-glass cooktop with four induction zones and front touch-and-slide controls. Its listed functions include automatic warm-up, a timer, keep-warm/Stop & Go, power boost, pot sensing, automatic switch-off, residual-heat indicators, child and function locks, and Hob2Hood. How FlexiBridge and the four zones are arranged
The left side is the flexible cooking area. Electrolux says its induction segments can be combined in different configurations or used together to create a larger cooking area. This is the feature to assess if you regularly use long or oversized cookware. The right front and right rear zones are distinct cooking areas, rather than part of the bridge.

The product page’s 3,400 W boost figure and the manual’s technical figures describe different operating configurations: the manual lists 3,200 W for an individual left zone and 3,400 W for the flexible induction area. These are manufacturer power specifications, not independent measurements of boiling speed or low-heat control. Consult the Electrolux manual and support information for the operating and installation details that apply to the unit.

Will it fit your benchtop and electrical supply?
Check both the opening and the installation requirements before ordering. Electrolux lists the cooktop at 590 mm wide × 520 mm deep × 55 mm high, with a countertop cutout of 560 × 490 mm. The manufacturer specifies a 7.4 kW connected load, hardwired connection and 32 A maximum current. Those specifications do not establish that a particular home circuit is suitable; have a qualified installer assess the site and confirm clearances, including the requirements for the cooktop and rangehood.
- Measure the existing cutout rather than relying on the nominal width of the old cooktop.
- Check cabinetry, ventilation and required clearances against the installation manual.
- Confirm the electrical supply and hardwired installation with a qualified installer before purchase.
Cookware and Hob2Hood requirements
Induction cookware
The cooktop needs cookware with a magnetic base. A simple check is to see whether a magnet sticks firmly to the underside of a pan; material labels alone do not guarantee that every pan will work. Pan diameter also matters: follow the zone-specific minimum guidance above and the manual, particularly for small pans and the flexible area.

Automatic rangehood control
Electrolux says: “When paired with a compatible Electrolux extractor hood, the Hob2Hood automatically switches it on as you start cooking and adjusts the fan speed based on how you are using your hob.” This does not establish compatibility with every Electrolux hood, or with other brands. CHOICE’s public EHI667BD page marks the model discontinued and gives the year tested as “2023 or earlier.” Its expert rating and cooking-performance details—including cooking performance, ease of use, heat-setting scores and boil time—are members-only. It is a plausible fit if you want a 60 cm induction cooktop with a flexible area on the left and your kitchen meets its cutout and electrical requirements. It is less straightforward if you need publicly verifiable performance comparisons, confirmed new stock, or a particular Hob2Hood pairing. CHOICE’s discontinued listing and an accessible retailer page do not establish whether new units are currently available in your area.

When comparing alternatives, check the zone layout against your cookware, the verified cutout and load, controls and safety functions, cookware diameter guidance, and whether independent test results are publicly visible.
