The Electrolux EHE6899BA is a 609L French-door refrigerator with a temperature-adjustable drawer, plumbed ice and water, and app-connected functions. Its strongest practical differentiator is the FlexFresh drawer, which Electrolux specifies for settings from -23°C to +7°C. Before choosing it, check the unusually important fit details: it is 913 mm wide, needs a water connection, and extends 1189 mm when its doors are open to 90 degrees.
What the EHE6899BA is
Electrolux Australia identifies the EHE6899BA as an UltimateTaste 900 French-door refrigerator in dark stainless steel. Its listed features include a convertible drawer, humidity-controlled crispers, adjustable shelving, in-door filtered ice and water, frost-free cooling, TwinTech Cooling System and connected functions. These are manufacturer-described specifications; they do not by themselves establish real-world food-preservation performance.
Electrolux’s current product page lists 609L capacity. Its fact sheet breaks capacity into 371L food, 165L freezer and 73L convertible space using AS/NZS 4474.1 2007 / IEC 62552-2015. Capacity labels can differ when the measurement standard changes, so figures from different standards should not be treated as directly equivalent. How the convertible drawer works

The dimension sheet separately lists cabinet dimensions of 908 mm wide, 625 mm deep and 1756 mm high. Those cabinet figures are not the full exterior dimensions. The drawing notes that doors sit proud of the cabinetry and shows hinge-side allowances for door and bin access; check the drawing and current installation manual rather than assuming the cabinet measurements are sufficient. Water, app and connected features
Water connection
The appliance has an in-door ice-and-water dispenser and requires a plumbed water supply. It is not described as a tank-fed model. Confirm that a suitable connection is available where the refrigerator will sit; for installation work or cost, request a current local quote.

Electrolux says connected functions require the Electrolux Life app and an Electrolux account. Internet access and Wi-Fi are needed for full functionality. The listed app functions include monitoring or adjusting temperature, alerts and filter-change reminders. Electrolux’s product page displays a 4.5 rating from 1,558 reviews, accessed 7 October 2026. That is a changing first-party review display, not a controlled independent test or a stable measure of long-term reliability. Neither source, as accessible here, substantiates claims about noise, food freshness results or energy savings in a particular home.
Warranty and replacement parts
Electrolux’s fact sheet lists a two-year domestic warranty plus an additional three years for the sealed refrigeration system only. That is not five years of comprehensive coverage. Verify the terms that apply to your region, purchase date and retailer before buying. Electrolux fact sheet
Electrolux’s official shop lists compatible components including humidity-control housing 140052731019, flexible 1/3 door bin 140073380010 and bottle door bin 140073434015. The shop asks customers to select the product number (PNC) to find matching parts. Check the refrigerator’s PNC against the current manufacturer listing before ordering; exact water-filter cartridge compatibility is not established by these listings.

Who should consider it?
The EHE6899BA is worth considering if its large format suits your household, you can accommodate its full dimensions and clearances, and a plumbed water connection is practical. The convertible drawer is the clearest functional distinction in the published specifications. Make the decision using your space, water setup and required storage—not the 609L headline alone—and compare energy labels only when their standards match.
