The Ecosa Pillow is a contoured memory foam pillow with removable pads to change its height. That adjustability gives you several loft options to try, but it does not guarantee a comfortable fit: CHOICE’s public findings for three adjustable Ecosa pillows were mixed, and the accessible results do not identify which model earned its recommendation. Consider it if you want a shaped pillow whose height you can tune; be cautious if you need proven comfort for your particular sleeping position or body shape.
What is the Ecosa Pillow?
Ecosa Australia describes it as a contoured, ergonomic memory foam pillow with removable height pads and a removable, machine-washable cover. Unlike a pillow filled with loose shredded foam, its height is adjusted by adding or removing discrete layers. The Australian product page lists a standard size of 38 × 56 cm and three inserts: two 2 cm pads and one 3 cm pad. Ecosa markets it for all sleep positions, but that is a product claim, not evidence that its shape will suit every sleeper. Ecosa Pillow product page
CHOICE’s public listing reports its tested Ecosa Pillow at 14 cm variable height, 57 cm wide, 40 cm long, and 1.5 kg. Those are CHOICE’s measurements for its tested model; they differ slightly from Ecosa Australia’s stated standard dimensions. CHOICE Ecosa Pillow review

How well does it perform?
CHOICE purchased three adjustable Ecosa pillows for testing in November 2025. In its March 2026 overview, it said one of the three scored highly enough to be recommended, but the accessible article text does not identify which pillow that was. It also reported mixed comfort results: one pillow was rated “good” and two “poor” in the configurations tested. Those findings should not be attributed specifically to the standard Ecosa Pillow as a recommendation or as a poor comfort result. The detailed scores are available only to CHOICE members. CHOICE said the three pillows performed well in fold and fatigue testing and fairly well in its sink test. For fatigue testing, it compressed them under 100 kg for 96 hours. That describes a laboratory test condition, not how long a pillow will last in normal use. CHOICE also noted that it could not test every possible pad configuration. Its results therefore cannot establish how comfortable every combination will be for you.
Fit depends on more than sleeping position. CHOICE identifies shoulder width and body weight, as well as position, as factors that affect pillow comfort. The adjustable layers let you experiment with loft, but the contoured shape and feel still need to suit your preferences. Ecosa’s product page includes a physiotherapist testimonial, but it is a brand-published endorsement rather than independent clinical evidence. The sources cited here do not establish that the pillow treats neck pain or reduces snoring.

Adjustability: useful, but not a shortcut to fit
The pads provide a practical way to change the pillow’s height without replacing the whole pillow. CHOICE explains that adjustable pillows require buyers to try different layer combinations to find a comfortable height. Because it did not test every possible Ecosa configuration, its reported comfort ratings do not answer how each available combination performs.

Pay attention to whether the contour feels comfortable and whether the resulting loft suits your usual sleeping position; do not assume that a product marketed for all positions will fit yours automatically.

Ecosa advertises a 100-night trial in Australia. Trial rules are regional and may change, so read the terms for the country and seller you are buying from. Ecosa’s US policy, for example, requires at least 14 nights of use before a return, contact within 100 nights, and proof of purchase; it also limits returns to one return of up to two pillows per household and excludes certain returns caused by poor care. The Australian warranty is separate from the trial. Ecosa states that the pillow has a 100-day limited warranty beginning on delivery. It covers specified workmanship or material defects under normal domestic use, not dissatisfaction with comfort; some damage and poor-care conditions are excluded. Who should consider the Ecosa Pillow?
- It may suit you if you want contoured memory foam and value the ability to change pillow height by adding or removing pads.
- Be more cautious if you already know that contoured pillows feel uncomfortable, or if you need independent evidence that a specific configuration will suit your body. CHOICE’s public results are mixed and do not disclose the standard pillow’s individual comfort score.
- Compare before buying by shape and position fit, the way loft is adjusted, available comfort results, care instructions, current price, and the applicable trial and warranty terms. CHOICE’s overview notes that some similarly priced alternatives performed as well or better, but its detailed scores are member-only; the public information does not support a numerical ranking.
