Eco Wave Power’s pitch at the October 1, 2026 Small Cap Showcase Conference was that a nearshore wave-energy system, operating projects and a pipeline of more than 400 MW could support a larger business. The opportunity is still a commercial execution story, not proof of a scaled, profitable energy company: the pipeline includes projects at different stages, and licensing, financing, repeatable generation and paying customers remain key tests.
What Eco Wave Power does
Eco Wave Power Global AB (publ), listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market under ticker WAVE, develops wave-energy conversion systems. Its 2025 Form 20-F describes equipment that captures the rising and falling movement of ocean and sea waves and converts it into electricity.
Rather than placing a full array of converters offshore, the company positions its equipment onshore or nearshore, often connected to existing coastal infrastructure such as a port. The site is therefore part of the project: access, installation, maintenance and permitting depend on the shoreline or port as well as the conversion hardware.

At the conference, the company presented this approach as simpler and less costly than offshore alternatives. That is the company’s comparative claim, not an independently established cost advantage. The available disclosures do not establish comparative lifetime costs across sites or prove that the approach will be cheaper in practice.

What the conference report said—and what its numbers mean
Investing.com’s October 1, 2026 report on the presentation characterized Eco Wave Power as having operating projects, low cash burn and a growing pipeline, while noting that large-scale projects remain in licensing and that the company needs to expand its revenue base. The following figures are conference-reported; they should not be treated as independently audited presentation facts or as equivalent to reported financial statements.
| Conference-reported item | Figure | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | $8.4 million | Reported from the October 1, 2026 presentation; a point-in-time cash figure, not a statement of how long funds will last. |
| Operating expenses | $700,000 per quarter | Conference-reported quarterly amount; not necessarily a forecast of future spending. |
| Annual net loss | $3 million | Conference-reported figure; the coverage does not establish the precise reporting period or provide a reconciliation to the company’s interim results. |
| Project pipeline | More than 400 MW | Prospective capacity across projects at differing stages—not installed generation, contracted electricity sales or revenue. |
The company’s H1 2026 update separately described grid-connected projects in Gibraltar, Israel and the Port of Los Angeles. A grid connection is a meaningful project milestone, but by itself does not establish commercial profitability or a large operating fleet.
Where the projects stand
Company updates distinguish an operating project from pilots and projects still being developed. The statuses below reflect company disclosures available in 2026; they are not independent assessments of project performance.
Rank #2
- This is a Micro 3 phase Brushless AC Generator Model
- This is a great way to teach or learn about generating electricity or as an experiment starting place for larger projects.
- Output voltage : 3V-24V; Output current : 0.1A-1A;
- Rated speed : 300-6000 rev/min; Rated power : 0.5-12W;
| Project | Disclosed status | What the milestone does—and does not—show |
|---|---|---|
| Jaffa Port, Israel | The company describes it as a grid-connected project and a source of operating experience. | It provides experience with a connected system; it is not proof that a larger fleet is commercially profitable. |
| Porto, Portugal | The company calls this its first megawatt-scale project and a priority. Its press index lists an execution-plan submission and ocean-wave assessment update in January 2026. | The stated priority and submissions are development steps, not evidence that a megawatt-scale plant is already operating. |
| Port of Los Angeles, United States | A pilot. The company’s press index lists submission of a final completion report to Shell in March 2026. | A completed-report milestone for a pilot should not be described as an established commercial plant. |
| Suao Port, Taiwan | The company announced a land-use tender award in March 2026. | This is a development milestone, not an operating project. |
| Mumbai Oil Terminal, India | The company says it is evaluating deployment with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, beginning with site assessment and a possible pilot. | Assessment and a possible pilot are earlier-stage than an operating installation. |
Eco Wave Power’s H1 2026 update says it aims to advance the Portugal project, move Taiwan and India toward their next stages, and continue operating experience at the Israel project. These aims are not guarantees of timing or completion. The maturity mix is why the pipeline total should not be read as a forecast of near-term output.
What the financial updates establish
Eco Wave Power’s H1 2026 results report a reduction in expenses and net loss year over year, alongside a financing event. These are company-reported period-specific figures; they indicate improvement on those measures, not profitability or cash-flow breakeven.
| Period or event | Company-reported figure | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Six months ended June 30, 2026 | Operating expenses of about $1.451 million, approximately 9% lower than in H1 2025 | Lower interim expenses do not establish that spending will keep declining. |
| Six months ended June 30, 2026 | Net loss approximately 12% lower year over year | The company remained loss-making; the reported change is not a path-to-profitability forecast. |
| Cash comparison | Cash at June 30, 2026 was approximately 58% higher than at March 31, 2026 | The company’s comparison is period-specific; the percentage alone does not reveal future funding needs. |
| Registered direct offering | $4.0 million gross proceeds | Gross proceeds are not the same as net proceeds after any costs, nor do they settle the cost of developing the pipeline. |
For context, the company’s 2025 results announcement reported $6.3 million in cash and short-term deposits at year-end 2025. That earlier balance predates the H1 2026 financing and interim update, so it should not be substituted for the later figures.
How to evaluate the commercial case
The core question is whether site-specific installations can move from development into operation on schedule and produce repeatable electricity under economics that attract paying customers. The 2025 Form 20-F identifies risks including failure to secure favorable sales, services or collaboration agreements, project delays, and delayed or missing payments.
- Project maturity: Separate operating installations from pilots, assessments, tender awards and plans. A pipeline aggregate does not erase those differences.
- Delivery: Track licensing, permitting, financing, construction and grid progress at each site against company updates.
- Performance: Look for sustained generation and operating evidence, rather than treating grid connection alone as proof of commercial success.
- Revenue conversion: Assess whether projects lead to paying customers and recurring or repeatable business, rather than relying on project announcements or prospective capacity.
- Funding: Compare the resources disclosed by the company with the development demands of projects still in the pipeline. The available sources do not establish the financing required to deliver the full pipeline.
The cited company and conference disclosures do not independently settle project-level costs, realized lifetime performance or comparative economics against offshore wave systems, solar, wind or other alternatives. They also do not provide a standardized peer comparison that would support ranking Eco Wave Power quantitatively against competitors.

Eco Wave Power’s H1 2026 materials describe work on predictive maintenance, optimization and digital twins, and management has discussed the potential use of wave energy for data centers and other power-intensive infrastructure. The company also says its U.S. subsidiary joined NVIDIA Inception, a program it describes as providing developer tools, technical resources, training and ecosystem support.

- 3Pcs 0.8Hz-60Hz Adjustable Signal Generator TP354 NE555 Module Square Wave Pulse Generator Oscillator Output Signal Source (0.8Hz-60Hz)
- The output terminal of the square wave signal has an amplitude approximately equal to the input voltage.
- The output duty cycle is not adjustable, and the duty cycle of the output signal is basically stable (50% -65%) during the frequency adjustment process.
- The frequency is adjusted through a built-in multi turn potentiometer, with a range of 0.8Hz-60Hz for the L version; The H version is 50Hz-6kHz
- The power supply voltage is DC 5V-15V, and the no-load current is about 3mA.
Those disclosures show strategic activity and participation in a partner program; they do not show that wave energy is already supplying a commercial data center or that AI has become a material revenue stream for Eco Wave Power.
Bottom line for investors
Eco Wave Power offers exposure to a distinct infrastructure approach: capturing wave motion near shore, often using existing coastal sites. The investment case rests on converting that design and a multi-stage project pipeline into delivered projects, sustained generation and meaningful revenue. Conference-reported cash and pipeline figures, together with lower H1 2026 expenses and net loss, are relevant context, but they do not resolve the central uncertainties around project execution, economics, financing and commercial scale.
